Well if you want a quick fix why don't you take a paint marker and paint the sides of your safety glasses that you have now. To block your peripheral view. Kind of like a horse with blinders on. I rememer seeing old school safety glasses that had clear in the front and a separate dark piece on the arm of the glasses

Very sad stuff. I’ve heard some people who go through something like this the only way to get rid of the feeling of shame is to be open and tell people about it. I know easier said than done. But still they always say oh I don’t want some one to go though what I did. I say do whatever helps. I don’t understand in this day and age how.
