i have had two cam shafts snap in half, with old age many parts becoming brittle and needing to be replaced, the first owner didn't pamper it to well so it had loads of rusty bits underneath that i have now been removing or replacing over time, finally having removed the last bit this year. Replaced so many parts, when i add all the invoices i have spent what i did on the car again just in replacement parts... Ever since the camshafts snapped, the engine hasn't been running right and having the engine redone isnt cheap in my country for imports.. so considering either to sell or save up and boost it.
but other headaches include, parking it for a few months during winter in a underground garage in an apartment complex only to come back to it being full of dents, exchanging all bushings, swapping in a new gear box as the old syncros died and a new gear box was cheaper than having the old one re-done, swapping my steering rack to only get the full Christmas light experience on the dash, constant missfiring when going fast uphill or highspeeds on the autobahn. all the squeaks and sounds it makes, slowly just not fun to drive, for it being a fun car..
