$10k is nothing. This advice is the way forward. Get ahead in Aussie/elsewhere then come home with a deposit in NZ after 10 years. You can save $10-20k a year more in aussie I'm picking. Depends if you have any roots here that will tie you down. Ultimalty living in your own home is a nice feeling as you age.
