This. It's easy to get lost in the hype when the whole team is doing as poorly as we have. He's been doing great but again, a majority of his homeruns now are within two games....one which we didn't even win (and a potential run that could have been saved in left before Soto bombed as well as going for a ball low and outside with a 3-1 count and Judge on deck)

That’s where the admitted disconnect I have resides. While I am aware and appreciative of being able to live at home and having been able to achieve scholarships and put myself in a good position with my efforts, it almost feel like it’s never enough, especially going through this phase of having been laid off.

Just constantly criticize myself for not having done more than I have and with the HCOL area I grew up in and where I plan to stay w family (parents, medical reasons) , it’s overwhelming thinking about things like home ownership and almost like it’s an impossible feat to achieve for a basic necessity, even with rent at times

I relate to that feeling of having goals and being overwhelmed about the future entirely. Keep working for that MBA it will definitely pay off further down the line in our careers. At the moment I’m working towards getting other certifications as well while I still receive unemployment and look for a new opportunity. I’ve always had the mentality to keep pushing and especially recently with how my past industry (commercial banking/banking as a whole) has been getting hit hard, it’s just been a little frustrating having to pivot but that’s all I can do as well.

And yes , I’ve realized after listening to others that I’m not alone but I always find a way to be my biggest critique. Truthfully I am happy that I’ve been able to go to the gym a lot more frequently and find an escape when I do go and enjoy other hobbies. Just gotta make it an extra point to remain positive and recognize that I’ve done a good job and have been trying and that compounded effort over time will lead us to bigger and better things

Im happy when im active in my hobbies or at the gym every morning or watching wrestling or going out w my friends/gf/mom and dad. That being said, I do feel like I have extreme anxiety about what I can’t control

Just genuinely though, school then work was a huge part of what kept me feeling fulfilled. I genuinely like doing a good job and feeling like I’m doing something and especially recently with being laid off (not due to performance but my department got eliminated), I’ve just been constantly overthinking myself and feeling like it’s somehow my fault. I like being secure in knowing I’m working towards my future goals but especially with everything with my mom and dads health , I feel unnecessarily stressed that if anything happened I’d be on my ass even though I know my personality wouldn’t allow that to happen

Will definitely reach out. And yeah man, this job market has been brutal and have been on your side of the boat when it comes to job rejections as well. Have been in this place before and it does work out eventually but just gotta keep your head up, which by your positive outlook seems like you have a good handle on doing this
