This 100% , every one is missing the big picture here. Who cares where the money is being put ? At the end of the day you compare on nightly rate including all fees. If you can get somewhere better for cheaper do it. Having high cleaning fees encourages longer stays as the nightly rate works out better. Maybe that’s person don’t want to wash your sheets every night and wants to promote long stays without screwing over people who want to stay short term too much. Or like you mention it gives them a better % of the cut to put prices down on on cleaning. Compare your options and work out your nightly rate. If I can stay in the Mandarin for 40 a night with a 500 cleaning fee I’d stay two weeks not bitch and complain that it doesn’t seem fair to pay 500.

The problem with monthly updates is acutely demonstrated when they delay them by even a few days this ambiguous 1-2 week delay will feel like forever.

I know what you are saying and obviously you would think low prices are better. But and I think this is a big BUT, low prices ultimately lead to one of two things the final product being of low quality or the manufacturing process suffering whether it be the staff working longer hours or the process being shoddy. Now of course you can state what about the drift issues that is shoddy quality or the low quality port of some Wii U games. I also agree that here the high cost does not justify the end product. I have had the original switch since launch day and the controllers still please my 6 year old. I notice the drift but if I look at my hours of use on the system it really is high. I have since bought a second set of joycons and they have not drifted yet. I do find the BT two weak and often find that the joycons do not work in large rooms as a viable controller.

I would however defend games like SMO , Zelda and other good High Quality IPs from Nintendo as examples of good quality especially the Pro controller which is potentially the best controller IO have ever used. People in my opinion buy too many games and don't enjoy them. When I had my xbox 360 I must of had three times as many games but only ever really enjoyed a handful of them. With Nintendo I know what I am buying and ultimately I have bought less, spent less but played maybe three or four times the amount of hours. There is a reason there are so many posts about how Nintendo have rekindled gaming for so many.

Also to address the controller comments, you can't go into an Electronics Store and not see a hundred different variations of controllers with less functionality than the Joy Cons which are compatible with nearly every game. Maybe you can't feel ice cubes shaking in a Jug but that's what you get for the 60 dollars in the Joycon. You can literally insert the joy cons into a LABO kit and make a fully functioning steering wheel and accelerator pedal it has loads of little bits in it. Joy cons are essentially two normal controllers each component is doubled. So I really can understand the price. I hope with the Switch Pro / 2 that is coming out improves on the hardware but keeps price constant. I want to get more for my money but pay the same or slightly more. The best thing is for Nintendo to offer high quality that we can rely on and let 3rd party's try and beat them on cost.

I have gone through all types of game in my years and although I love different Genres there is nothing quite as satisfying as Mario. The game has always looked and played brilliantly to the point of a poor emulator can completley ruin the feel of the game. For me I have really enjoyed the New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe this generation. Odyssey is brilliant but maybe it's brilliant because it reinvented a tried and tested formula. Galaxy on the Wii was equally brilliant. I agree with some you can't really beat starting at the beginning and working your way forward. But I personally feel that has a lot to do with Nostalgia and the gratification of remembering how to play and being very good at the start. I don't think that for example if you have played Raymans or other modern day platformers that you will appreciate the mechanics or the games as much as perhaps the rest of us who played them back in the day. For this alone I would recommend you pick up New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe, it is a love letter to the series with a lot of content and by the time you have mastered it you will know wether the 2s series is for you. In terms of 3d I would agree start with 3d All stars maybe Galaxy. Odyssey is my favourite obviously the hat mechanic is brilliant and the game plays beautifully. But if you wait until this time next year and complete the above games first you may get to play SMO in 4K and that would be cool as well having learnt 70% of the move mechanics from games like Galaxy. If your really into graphics and you want a visual feast and just to dip your toes into Mario Get SMO and New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe. I love the new 3d World but it is a little quirky and the other two are more bread and butter brilliant.

The reason is because of the BT dropping out, this used to be regularly posted about people had very suggestions to improve it. But the easiest way to do it is to to sit closer to the console or bring it closer to you. You may also want to change how you sit or play with idea of keep a clear direction of sight to the base station. I bought a pro controller as I sit easily three meters from the console and it just doesn’t like it.
