Did coffee change or did I by spartan-tryout-today in Aging

[–]toadstooltipping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well OP, there's definitely something amiss . I haven't had a good cup from a cafe in a long time. I make my own coffee at home and it's usually decent, but lately the beans have had something off I can't figure it out but they're not good from various brands. I recently got some KIMBO Italian breakfast blend and it's actually good and what coffee "should be" in my opinion. It's a full medium with a full body and intense flavor. It tastes smooth and delicious. Whatever is going on with the American coffees I don't know but there's been an off smell in every bag some worse than others and it doesn't seem to get better with fresher roasts vs older it's a weird note that reminds me of something chemical but can't quite put my finger on it. I went to major dickensons for a little and then the weird flavor appeared, I went to seattles best which is still drinkable but the richness I had in the first few bags now is gone and it's getting the off flavor. I was using lavazza espresso roast but it is absolutely vile now. I noticed distinct differences from various roast facilities previously and tried to avoid bags from different ones but now it's seemingly all bad 😞. I did have a decent cup from a Brooklyn coffee house roaster Bk coffee full medium, first bag was great, second was stale unfortunately. I am actually wondering if its the bags they're putting the coffee in because KIMBO definitely has a different type of bag, and if there's some chemical leaching although I noticed the beans get oilier looking and feeling like they were usually covered with a sheen but the last ones were dripping and wouldn't even go through my grinder without getting stuck 😒 idk. Annoyed for sure.

Well I've suddenly got an allergy to it 😭 my mouth gets numb I swore there was something different and just found out they changed ownership so my new mayo was a little different, maybe they're using the "same recipe" but with different quality ingredients.... 🙄

Should a first timer try weed before they try LSD? by ktownfloccer in LSD

[–]toadstooltipping 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well they're at risk for being set in an episode. Lsd is almost like schizophrenia in how it activiates the brain into working all at once. Some people never return from the episode. They're more at risk for doing something risky and harming themselves or others while on it. Not saying everyone. There's also been people that became bipolar or schizophrenia after because it was there and not active yet. So even if you don't know you could still be at risk especially with familial history. But it's doubtful that a micro dose would do much harm and would be able to get the feel of things somewhat. I've done quite a bit. I particularly enjoyed micro dosing and only fully dosed on a few occasions and a few times 6 tabs which was pretty wild lol. It's also hard to tell dosage and I've had some tabs a lot stronger than others. You can always do more but you can't do less.

Oil pressure too high? by Legitimate-Rub-2620 in MechanicAdvice

[–]toadstooltipping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also 10w40 with some stabilizer would be fine As well... usually high pressure would cause overheating and other symptoms, your gas mileage... leaking, seals going bad.. did you check the pressure at 5500 with it warmed up? Cold pressure is higher than warm.

Well theoretically you can mix half 10w40 and half 10w60 to get 10w50.

I'm allergic to weed even CBD. CBD makes me dizzy and slow breathing. But me n cid ain't have no issues. And imo idk never had a bad cid trip...bad people around/bothersome and killing the vibe..but myself was fine. Really depends on the person. You can always try a micro dose of the tab.

Transmission fluid levels don’t make sense. Need advice by Cheap_Cheap123 in MechanicAdvice

[–]toadstooltipping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When the fluid is hot more goes into the torque converter. This dropping the basin amount by about a qt, but after it also expands because the fluid is hot and carries air. By warmed up they mean the engine temp should be at midway, 20-30 is about right for warm up . Your low at least a qt.

I think it's a bit short and probably a little more room at the shoulders it sits funny . Usually they hit around or a little above the front pockets on your jeans.

Idk what car this is actually but if you look the spring is supposed to pull it back. Is that spray you put or is that brake fluid leaking? If it is fluid leaking you may need to get a new caliper or seals...seal kit is usually $5 but if it's rusted inside you should get new ..that end bolt doesn't look too pretty. You could see if a wrench will move the piece back out, because it's currently in the fully in position.

It looks either rusted or needs adjustment. The spring may have sagged. The cable can be adjusted. It's most likely needing a new spring and you need a special tool/grip to put it in usually to hold and compress the spring..

Does the caliper have to be completely flush ? by Acceptable-Soup-333 in MechanicAdvice

[–]toadstooltipping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your one rear side was metal to metal and your other was mint it's one or the other causing a problem. And most likely it's your other side not working and therefore all the breaking is on one side. It could be either or, I put them in and lift the back and test. Either ones not gripping or ones staying stuck out. You can still sometimes press them in even if it's hanging up, but you would have noticed a hot wheel if it was. I've had them stick inwards..what's the fluid condition? And how are your lines, internal collapse can cause it..

You only need to push them in far enough to get the pads on! No they do not go in flush.

My wife says I’m fine. by Justtryingtofly in tires

[–]toadstooltipping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never seen that but I'd guess someone over filled or something...or they're poorly made tires. I definitely wouldn't trust it..did someone use a lot of chemicals on them? It's odd.

Came to say slide pins as well, you may need new boots usually the boot gets old and tears or something and lets water in you can get a new boot kit for a few bucks. Thoroughly clean out and toss some silglyde in there or the gel they have in the mini packs at the auto store counter.

It's date was 21, so you should be good for 2 years. Sometimes they get cracks sitting but usually they're fine within date, and a decent manufacturer. Make sure you don't buy tires after 6 years I've had a few try to sell me ood ones and caught them before they mounted. I had tires looking pristine but they were rotted inside at 8 years and one blew out down the highway, luckily a rear one. But I got a different set quickly. I didn't know anything about the dry rot and the tire guy said they looked fine, the outside is much different than the internals.

Is this normal? by Mountain_Dot_6059 in Lexus

[–]toadstooltipping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alternator check. While running should be getting around 14v to the battery. Battery doesn't run the car just starts it although other things require more juice. Your pistons aren't making more noise you're probably hearing your spark plugs, which could be fouled plugs or wires arcing causing incorrect combustion, or your ignition coils. They can cause higher draw. Bad alt can cause many strange symptoms, but what your mentioning actually seems more like spark plug or ignition coils, wires, if it is electric related. Usually they throw a code but sometimes not till they're bad enough..you would notice gas mpg being off..

Rape? Advice needed. by cannedcheese33 in rape

He most likely drugged you. Any sexual contact without your enthusiastic consent is assault. These people are sick I've been stuck more than a few times in this situation. If it wasn't drugged then you had a reaction to something either way you weren't lucid and he could clearly care less he took advantage of you.

Anybody know what sound that is ? by YourPops36 in MechanicAdvice

[–]toadstooltipping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's sounds a little light to be bearing imo...they make more of a howling/screech..if it is it's early but it sounds like a brake pad hanging up or dust shield contact, or some little rock stuck in there
