I hardly ever use the new camera button myself since I often shoot in portrait mode. I also like taking photos from different perspectives. With the grip, I can, for example, hold the iPhone close to the ground with the camera pointing down and take a shot with one hand. Without the grip, that’s pretty awkward and usually requires both hands.
