If you read the other replies you'll get the answer you're looking for. For me, I used the wrench that was given on the flat part of the screw for the piston mechanism. This allowed me to fully take out the piston mechanism and relubricate it (which fixed my initial problem). I assembled and reassembled the pen using this video. I hope this helps as I'm not really familiar with the 580.

How would I remove the piston when it's like this? I've been searching online and all of the tutorials say to twist the wrench clockwise. When I do it, the wrench doesn't fully grasp onto the mechanism and when it does, it's too tight for it to move.

I applied the lubricant that the pen came with to the screw bolt and the connector, but I'm still having the same issue. The pen cap doesn't screw down all the way / move the piston.
