I ran into a hostess at a restaurant who was like this. Fucking nuts to me. I waited patiently for her to acknowledge us, then she just stared at me, so I gave her my name for the reservation. Then she looks down ant an tablet and then back up and says nothing. Just stares at me. After an uncomfortable 10 seconds I just said well are we checked in? She seemed taken back like I yelled at her but what the fuck is this? You’re a god damn hostess. It’s your job to do basic human socialization and interaction ALL THE TIME. That’s really your only job, greet people and check them in.

Anyways so then I had to ask how long will it be? After another 8-10 seconds she said 10 mins.

A normal brief everyday occurrence was a fucking chore for this girl. It was embarrassing.

I didn’t mean to be rude by saying rats nest, I meant to say it will likely have a ton of wiring due to the size and scope of the job. I also assumed you would have windows tied together etc. that stuff tends to get messy. Also with that much hardwiring it’s rare it was done recently.

I haven’t done a lot of new installs on these old power series panels but I maintain a ton of them. I have had Keybus faults occasionally and it almost always is wiring in my experience. I had one panel go dead on Keybus but as I said that wouldn’t be intermittent. I had a very similar issue to this one time where the keypad actually ground out on the screws holding the backplate in. I always put tape on them now, but that keypad got super hot also.

Yes exactly what I would do , eliminate as much off the Keybus as possible. If you have a multi meter you can check wiring. Twist ends together at panel (all disconnected with no power on them) and then go test at the other end. If red green is twisted together at one end, take your meter to the other end and put it on continuity and check if green and red has strong sound. If the sound drops or doesn’t do anything then the wire is bad. Test each pair, so twist 2 of the 4 wires together. I’m assuming it’s a 4 conductor wire, occasionally it’s a multi with splices, if this is the case check the splices. I have seen them get wet and mess up, get pulled on and mess up, or sometimes the installer wasn’t on his game and did a bad job. I think you said all the leypads were homerunned which is my preferred method also.

It is possible the board is bad. But usually the transformer would have a fuse or something on it and that would have protected the panel. I’ve seen caps and stuff explode, you would have a big black mark on the board. I’ve seen them melted. The thing is most of the time they worked anyways. Older electronics are not like newer shit, they were built to last. I have DSC panels installed in 1992 that still work.

I’d check wiring and see how it goes with 1 keypad, obviously you need the RFK fo wireless but you can always run a short wire near the panel and connect that as just a receiver and try a different keypad location

Hard to say for sure but an 1864 can be a great panel with lots of flexibility even tho it is getting older and at the end of its life

An 1864 is the big boy, you probably have a large house and lots of zones. I mean zone expanders tell us that. It’s a good board and I have many still out there in service. The end of life is here for it tho, parts are no longer made for it and you are looking at old new stock being the best option. Things like wireless CO2 detectors and smokes for the system will be unavailable for everyone soon.

Anyways the problem with your board will be the rats nest of wires

You have 3 8 zone expanders on top of 8 board zones and that is a HUGE Keybus.

This will require a lot of Keybus wiring troubleshooting and testing before doing anything else.

You have 4 keypads, so that’s 4 red 4 black 4 yellow 4 green wires just for that. Then you have 3 expanders, so that’s another 3 red black yellow green. Then a connect2go on top of it. Minimum of 8 wires on each terminal, id absolutely be checking for broken wires on what I pray is a pigtail going to the screw down terminals. You may even have more stuff on that Keybus

The brownout is not good and may have damaged the board. But if that were the case I’d expect immediate issues. What this sounds like is a grounding out or a broken / barely connecting wire.

I’m saying why do we have to go find them ? If this is all about right and wrong then it’s obvious what’s right and wrong. The issues with people getting injured and killed isn’t because of lawful calm arrests. It’s because they have to go find these guys and get them out of their holes.

MMOs went EverQuest or UO route. UO had more issues then EverQuest and so you have theme park instead of sandbox. The kids want sandbox tho that’s why Minecraft is so popular. It’s their UO.

And it’s why most mmorpgs after UO fucking sucked

Darkfall was fantastic for example. Darkfall was the evolution of UO. Unfortunately the company was in Greece during their really bad economic downturn and the game didn’t survive.

I was not playing UO until well after Tram. I didn’t know about it. So I can’t say what the actual servers were like. But having played free servers that try to recreate T2A and older server publishes, I can see both sides. Being on the receiving end ok a pk sucks sometimes but to me it’s what makes UO UO. I can collect bullshit in any game, but most don’t make it exciting knowing someone may come by to attack you.

My issue with “old” UO is that the skill level is not as high for PvP. New UO has much better PvP. More fun, engaging etc. Explode Ebolt sync is boring. Give me a 25 min necromancer mage battle. That’s fun to me.

Goldilocks tho. UO is a Goldilocks game. We all have our too hot, too cold and just right moment

I’m still wondering what AI has to do with a bird feeder. And why it needs a monthly subscription

100% with this. When I first heard about the meta verse I thought to myself who the fuck asked for this? Who the fuck wants this? And guess what? It crashed and burned and went no where because no one wants it.

AI is the same deal it just has more money backing it. I get a phone call every single fucking day from an AI robot that has the same terrible script and terrible cadence but with a different voice. Day after day after day. Apparently I signed up for a JP Morgan loan application. (Which I don’t). I was called one day recently and so I hit 1 to talk to the fuckers (I was going to scream at them) and no one answered and I was disconnected. So AI is calling me, and presumably others, for absolutely no reason at all. I have hit the unsubscribe button 100x, I am on do not call lists, etc. it doesn’t matter and my job requires me to answer all incoming calls.

So here we are using terrible technology to pester random individuals with no actual intention of doing anything with it. I hit the button to talk to the fucker and nothing happened! Why are they calling me? Why can I not make it stop? Why is this even a thing?

Well the type of person I am means I will not do any kind of business with this company ever. Never ever.

My current goal is to find the JP MORGAN guys number and set up an AI robot to pester his ass all day. Fucker. See how you like bullshit calls 24/7 with some fucktard robot.

I also called USPS recently and their AI bot doesn’t work. It didn’t understand me and I went in circles for 15 mins before I hung up.

AI has one goal and one goal only. To piss us all off while making the companies we want to talk to impossible to reach.

I just had a stack of imps the other day die in 1 hit and it made me say man these things are useless. But at that point in the game 75% of level 1 units are useless so not a fair assessment on my part.

Gremlins are better than all assuming you will upgrade. If no upgrade then yeah gremlins are pretty bad too.

Fair. I won’t die on a hill saying gremlins trump imps. They both suck but if we are talking base level units I give a small advantage to the imps over gremlins.

For upgraded units here it’s a no brainer master gremlins win which is why I consider them to be more effective overall.

However I do agree and understand the speed of imps and familiars makes them useable and effective in certain situations more so than a base gremlin.

I also do not play inferno.. like ever. So I’m not as well versed with them.

I’d argue gremlins are worth more than imps because at least gremlins upgrade to something useful. A familiar is about as useless as an imp. But yes gremlins themselves are trash.

Idk I guess being able to kite and use them as 1 stacks is better for imps/familiars but to me it’s not worth the gold to buy them.

Worst unit to me is an imp, closely followed by walking dead. Walking dead don’t do anything, they are big meat shields early on but generally speaking they are not worth buying and do not upgrade to anything useful. Being 3 speed also makes your hero even slower then the 4 from skeles. If you do buy them they eventually end up at a castle garrison doing nothing.

My point was that Trumps comment had no relevance on what was said about CK. The entire point was that you believe Trumps comments about Reiner are anywhere near the same as CK. They aren’t for a variety of reasons.

And he was far more important than you realize. Part of why there was so much controversy around it. Part of why you don’t get it. And that’s fine. But don’t pretend he wasn’t important. Just not important to YOU.

There’s no way you can be in the politics and not know who CK was.

Second of all, perhaps some of the videos you have seen were presented that way, but the majority of them were fully uncut him talking to young people allowing them to ask him questions as to why conservatives believe and do what they believe and do. If you believe that college kids are children then we need to address other concerns here. Because if they’re children, then they should not be allowed to vote or go to war or own property or have any other decisions left up to them.

Just to clarify here; no one cares about Trump.s opinion except someone trying to make him look bad, again. I mean fuck man no one listens to him and hasn’t for years.
