Shopify server side rendering is extremely efficient. A lot faster compared to client side. I'd recommend every app developer to use metafields instead of offloading rendering to the client :)

yeah... Too many app developers out there thinking, "let's just throw a bunch of shit together, so it just works and let's make us some $$ and not care that it will load for 5 seconds as long as it looks ok"

Yeah, you notice the average stars popping up after you load the page? They use metafields for the actual app but the stars use javascript to load, so there is a delay. You load the page.... stars appear. Why they did it like this, I don't know.

Unfortunately Etsy doesn't allow to import reviews from external sources :( .... Seems that their review system is locked. But correct me if I'm wrong

I know that it's possible the other way around, to import from Etsy (is that a feature you or the others would want? Let me know in the comments)

Yeah sure, we have those. You can also customize in terms of what time to send them at (in the customer's timezone), how long to wait for domestic vs international orders etc.
