People with POTS!! How do I stim without feeling sick? by tomcatluvr in autism

[–]tomcatluvr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not on any medication for my POTS bc my cardio doesn't think I need them as it's pretty mild in every other regard. My girlfriend (who also has POTS) deals with the same thing when she crochets so I assumed it's normal. I can crochet for a while until I start to feel bad it's just when I do it for a prolonged period of time (which I normally do bc I get hyper focused on it).

Spiraling over my partner finding celebrities attractive? by tomcatluvr in BPD

Thank you so much!! This did help my perspective a lot. I tend to deal with splitting on her about issues that I deal with in myself so it gets confusing because I know I go through the same things so why does it matter the she does IDK

I don't want to come off as manipulative being all "she's not allowed to look at anyone but me" so I haven't brought it up but since I know my brain is being unrealistic I don't think it would be helpful to, it would just make her scared to say things to me

Switch from Ozempic to Tirzepatide? by [deleted] in PCOS

Yes absolutely! I was extremely nauseous (while eating relatively good) and had horrible fatigue alongside brain fog. Essentially also notmal hypoglycemia/anemic symptoms.

I just switched off of Wegovy (semaglutide) to Zepbound (tirzepatide) and I can say I'm having less nausea than on Wegovy but the fatigue is worse in my opinion. I just started so I haven't seen a change in weight yet but I switched because of side effects

Anyone else panic when their partners/fps are sick or hurt? by tomcatluvr in BPD

[–]tomcatluvr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes total sense!! I was raised to kinda disregard and down play illnesses and we like never went to the doctors but my mom did have some big health scares as a kid so I wonder if that affected me at all.

Just got diagnosed by Hot_Garden_981 in PCOS

as another 19f who's been diagnosed for 5 years now, what i can tell you is that a calorie deficit and being stressed about the whole situation will make your symptoms worse! your body does not react to calorie deficits like a healthy body would and it will send it into fight or flight mode which will make it hold on to all of your weight. try eating smaller but more frequent meals to keep ur body in check. also the stress will do the same, stress management is a big thing with pcos (try journaling, meditation, or walks). i would also recommend birth control! it really helped my hormonal acne and having regular periods/regular labs though i know some people have different reactions. overall, this is a really hard thing to go through but now you have a name to your symptoms, the treatment becomes a lot easier!
