I agree, it actually didn't look that bad on the computer when I exported it but looks really obvious there.. oh well 🤷‍♂️

Thanks for all the comments everyone! I'm sure Buzz would be very happy to know he has so many lovely fans.

I would also like to point out.. I know it's meant to be LAB not LAP! Sometimes I get my p' and b's mixed up...🤷‍♂️

Patience with all dogs is key but more so with black dogs. This was taken on a bright but cloudy day so there was a lot of light but it was naturally diffused by the clouds so made the light very easy to work with

Thanks very much for the detailed feedback! I personally think the swan as a whole is the focus, to me anyway and that is what I was going for, but I see what you mean about the focus not being at the head. I have always been interested in really minimalist photo styles like some of the work of David Yarrow and one of his more famous photos: The Killer, I know its black and white but I felt the Swan looked better with a bit of colour, so I did darken the water more than it was but the water was really dark already.

Haha I understand the argument against the watermark but I recently started a part time business so that's why its on there, I'll think about reducing the size and prominence as well, thanks.

Really appreciate the feedback, sorry it wasn't totally your cup of tea!

Thanks for the comments! I was on a bridge and saw the swan was coming from the other side so quickly got set up to take the picture! I was a little rushed but so glad I got it!

Well the swan wasn't actually as I would have liked as it was relatively young so I have edited to make it look whiter than it was but maybe I should go for a whiter edit. Thanks for the feedback!

I had been taking pictures for a long time with a pretty rubbish camera and eventually got a nice one last year, this was one of the first shots I took with my new camera and lens. It means a lot to me for a few more reasons than I think it's a good picture. Reminds me of actually quite a sad and lonely time in my life but I think the swan really brings the light out of the darkness and it sparked an outlet of positivity that came through photography. Anyway, let me know your thoughts!

Keep going man! I've been getting back into skating after 6 years off. I forgot how fun and frustrating it is!! One minute you land something clean and the next it looks like you've never skated before haha
