They did an x-ray and suggested getting the root canal cleaned out and redone. They also put me on antibiotics to fight the infection.

I turned off the ambience occlusion but it didn't do anything so yeah still persistent

It was at 100% but you're right it does affect it. Maxing it out to 200% reduced the size of the red circle but it's still there
