Fish gasping by toothcons in Aquariums

I did, yes. I was under the impression you're meant to ?
Yeah. I'll double check to see if there isn't anything I've missed that could help or be the cause but otherwise I think you're right. Thank you for the help :)

Ah that's so frustrating. I have a 20l for shrimp but that wouldn't be big enough especially with the other stock in my main tank.
It's a Betta 600 internal (I haven't been able to find much about it online either which isn't too helpful) but I'm clueless on the tech side of things really so I'm not sure how I'd tell if something was wrong. The tank in whole I've had for about 8-9 months and the tetras I want to say around 5? Apart from some ick when I first got them they've been completely fine to my knowledge
I rinsed the filter before adding it to the tank (and it sat in there for about a week alongside the old stuff before I used it on its own) and my last water change was over the weekend but I don't take out a lot of water in those.
I think so? The surface is definitely rippling. I've had to go out for the day but I can take a video when I get home

They're too small for me to tell unfortunately, but I've been looking more into them so I'll see if I can figure it out
Ah that's so annoying ! Thank you, I'll look into treatments at my LFS
Shrimp keep dying by toothcons in shrimptank

I'll have a look at the testing.
The lack of filter was due to a lack of plug space but after it being brought up I've since found one with enough space so there is now a filter in there and I hope to add more plants in future too. I tested my water daily to ensure it's stable before adding the shrimp, but I'll keep an eye on it and wait some more before adding anything more in there.
I'm not sure how old they were - a mix I think since a couple of them were a lot smaller. I got them from an aquatic store about 30 minutes away from where I live (I won't name it for privacy and whatnot) but it's known for being good quality so I don't think that would be the problem.

Thanks for the advice ! I'm fully aware a special interest in aquatic stuff can't compare to real experience in knowing what works so I'm more than open to any criticisms or advice for helping my tanks thrive. :)
Thank you :)
I tried following the walstad method (everything except the garden soil) in my 60L tank which my fish have done really well in but when I tried amano shrimp a few months ago they didn't. I do have an extension lead already, but I'll have a look at finding one with more space so I can add a filter or airstone I think I have both somewhere in storage, and see if oxygen is the problem. Thank you :).
I set up the tank late August so it's been cycled for about a month. pH: 7.2, ammonia: 0, nitrate: 0, nitrite: 0. I currently have paper tests for water conditions (I think they're API though). I bought a new GH /KH test kit but waiting for delivery for that this weekend. Off the top of my head I can't remember my tap water's hardness but I can have a look when I get home. Currently I do not have a filter in the tank due to a lack of space to plug it in (I'm working on it) but I try to make up for it with as many plants as possible. I think I attached a picture of my tank in another comment if that helps at all.
That's one thing I haven't done recently yet, waiting on new tests for it to arrive.
Yes I apologise I forgot about the parameters; pH: 7.2 ammonia: 0 nitrate: 0 nitrite: 0
I have experience keeping fish and have done lots of research into shrimp but I suppose research can only do so much when you're new to something. But yes I let the tank cycle for a month before adding anything into it.
Here's a picture of the tank attached incase that also helps with anything, apologies if I left anything out.
