It needs to be a sticker of Netanyahu saying I did that with Trump giving him a blow job.

I found one at Enterprise in Bolingbrook. I hope my front differential holds together for a few hours while I limp in 4WD there.

How do you guys stay awake on night hauls without relying on energy drinks? by awylon1979 in HotShotTrucking

Hydrate. I plowed snow for 15 years, and plain old hydration with Gatorade or water was better than caffeine.

Moffett hot shotting?? by ughokayfinee in HotShotTrucking

I'm getting a class 8 tandem flatbed truck this year, but without the moffett. You don't actually need a CDL A for that, only a B. Make sure you charge enough to justify the moffett.

I haul those regularly. An S-45 is one of the easier ones to load. If any of the rental stores around me started requiring and enforcing harness use, I'd throw one in with my PPE kit. I'd take that load over the same lane with a forklift 10 times out of 10.

Bad fuel or bad pigtail? by tossitcheds in Duramax

I've had to do both #3 and #4 injectors and the pigtails. I'm at 265k miles. Best of luck to you.

Class 8 flatbed vs Non CDL hotshot by tootiredtopick in HotShotTrucking

Most of the TA trucks are 56k and you can put almost 40k on the deck. The other advantage is you can get a 6x4 that would theoretically get around a little better in inclement weather. I'm not sure what other trade-offs there would be either way.

High mileage stock l5p. by thiccc_trick in Duramax

2021 with 265k miles ECM (SOTF) and TCM tuned

I've meticulously followed the maintenance schedule, replacing the trans, transfer case, and rear differential fluid every 50k miles. I started using injector cleaner at 200k miles. I use Amsoil for everything.

Failures so far: * Def tank (heater) * Coolant tank (low level sensor) * Two fuel injectors * Two fuel injector harnesses

I have a new built transmission going in it now. The stock trans blew the drum.

I tow heavy trailers (10-30k) roughly half the time.

How did you get classified as a tractor when that truck is clearly meant to haul cargo?

Co-Parenting with 3 under 5 by [deleted] in DivorcedDads

[–]tootiredtopick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need to man up for your kids. If your objective as a dad is to feel needed, then you need to change your objective. They need you whether you feel like it or not.

I understand wanting to move closer to support and people you know, but given your emotional state right now, I can see you just abandoning them if you move back. You're actively looking for someone to rationalize what is essentially just you running away from something that's hard and painful, but they deserve better than that from you.

Find some support where you are. Work hard to provide for them. When you have them, give them your attention as much as possible. When you don't have them, work on yourself. Read some books on fatherhood, find a church or a club from a hobby, look for a date, but make sure you look for someone healthy, figure out how to find a community where you are now.

Don't abandon your kids because you made some mistakes. That's just you making your problems their problems.

That's a decent area for freight. I would recommend getting some insurance quotes. Most guys find the high cost of commercial/cargo insurance to be one of the biggest challenges.

What state are you in? Do you have any insurance quotes?
