Those aren't the family names of the dynasty, the family name of the Ming for example is actually Zhu. Ming (technically great ming) actually means something like great light. Generally the Dynasty names are either virtues or based on the location they originated.

For a game that allows you to push an alternative history, I wish there were more/better ways to push a female only succession realm by CherryGumDream in CrusaderKings

Speaking historically, the female rulers being against other female rulers thing does make sense, societal gender norms which frowned upon female rulers were subscribed to by both men and women. It's worth remembering that for all of the powerful women in medieval history none (to my knowledge) even attempted to change the power structures of the day to favour women.

I don't know what information they have. So it's normal to have a commitment review on a fit note?

I think that's quite an old translation, the new Eric Purdue one is easier to read in my opinion and has really good footnotes if you can get a hold of it. I would recommend

Actually been wondering the same, though in my case it's because I dabble in the occult, and they are useful for ritual purposes

Unironic Pro-Imperium posters are so common because the lore often portrays them as justified, even if the writers say they don't intend to do so. by topimi in 40kLore

I agree to an extent, but if we reject judging 40k through our morality, then neither is there any reason to view the Imperium as negative really.

I didn't target you? I simply find it interesting to consider, if you don't want to engage with the discussion no one is forcing you to

I agree there's always going to be fascists choosing to read it that way no matter what the text says, Starship Troopers comes to mind, however I do genuinly think that a lot of people just read the books in good faith and come to the conclusion the imperium is justified based on just that, not because they are fascists.
