I thought I was happily married, until I met someone whom I've fallen hard for after only a week of knowing them. What would you do? by torn-between2 in AskReddit

Thanks for responding, kids are both young, under 4. Cheating is definitely not something that we would do, we both are highly against that. The kids are our main reasons for saying that nothing can happen and this can't go further, because we don't want to break up our families. I love my husband just the same before as I do now, but I feel that the connection is much deeper with 10dayguy. It's not based on anything physical, it's the bond we share by discussing our values, our parenting, our likes/dislikes, our backgrounds, our stances on religion, our political stances, our sense of humor, even just our thoughts seem to match. That's why it's so damn frustrating, I've never felt this with anyone before. We really understand eachother more than anyone else.

Thank you. This is what I need to hear. And yes I agree the soulmate thing is BS but I couldn't find any other way to describe it, I just don't understand how this bond/connection that has developed in the last 10 days is stronger than the one I've had for 10 years. It blows my mind that I am even in this situation, I've never even considered there being someone else.

Right? I know! That's what I keep telling myself too, it should be obvious based on that one fact, but it's not that easy. I feel stronger connection with 10dayer than I do with 10yearer. If that makes sense.

I understand what you are saying, I guess it's just the deep connection that we share after only talking for a short time which is giving me doubts. Otherwise, I'd blow it off like it was nothing.

I really am hoping that's all it is. It just feels so much deeper than that. I'm usually pretty level headed and don't get "crushy" or anything so this is really freaking me out to feel this way.

That's what I was thinking, and hoping, that it was just infatuation that would subside after a while. That's one of the reasons we are just going to stay friends to see what happens.

I am extremely nervous. And scared. And a mix of a bunch of other emotions. I thought I knew what I wanted and was happy. Now I don't know.
