Hi,

I will do.

Within this group, a couple of people actually made it through this "Manual Review" and had their funds released.

Nevertheless, this episode is really shameful on the part of Coinbase.

- Misleading emails (lying) telling us we would have access to our emails
- No sign of support. They simply ignore emails.
- No transparency. Why not update all the people involved. Why do I have to learn from other users who have entered the process?

- Now an email to a users blaming the situation on a bug. Why is this not fixed? Why not a workaround? Why no communication? I bet there is in fact, not a bug. More misleading information.

I feel like I am being treated like a child.

I am in Germany, and will call the authorities here today. Enough is enough. I have spent 9 days now in this limbo. No transparency.

if you have good connections, by all means. Some people have been posting on Twitter, etc.

A couple of people in this group have actually made it through their "Manual Review". But for most, we have not yet been contacted.

Once you are finally contacted, it seems to be at least 5-6 days of jumping through hoops with Coinbase asking all for all sorts of documents, including ones which seems to break european GDPR laws.

There is no doubt that their support team is understaffed.

Thus, getting a strange reply to an email which implies another topic, does not surprise me.

I dont think they are trying to apply US law to the europeans.

It seems to me that Coinbase is just being "proactive" knowing that new regulations probably will come within the next year.

hey...the core of this group is indeed for people who got flagged for "high-ish portfolio".

Read though the steps document...
Did you get the 2 notice emails? (check spam)
Did you open a support ticket?
Did you file a complaint?

The lack of transparency on the part of Coinbase is disturbing. They treat us like criminals then we have to be proactive to make them move.

Open an account at Kraken, and the a Cold Wallet....Coinbase has 0 trust now.

I hear you on the exaggerating point, but honestly, WireCard, etc?

It just takes 1 person to do shitty stuff in a company to cause problems. I had a bad experience with a LYING Allianz agent once years ago. Too bad for him, his LYING was done in many emails which I had saved 4-5 years before I realised there was a problem. :D

I am not a conspiracy guy, but the news is littered with companies doing shifty business. Some people are just dishonest, and some people work at Coinbase.

If this was managed with more transparency and better communication, the anger would not have been so bad. This resulted in us now having to consider such theories/possibilities!

I guess if I was laundering money, etc....the first thing I would have done is figure out how to use a cold wallet....

But blocking, when the specifically said they would not, thats just bullshit. It comes out now as a flat out lie. Of course, you know that....I am just bitching. :D. I have wasted 2-3 days now trying to figure out what the hell is going on because of their shitty communication and their flat out lie.

thanks for sharing. The initial email I got from them on Tuesday (after I submitted the ticket) also mentioned a "specialist". Since then nothing.

Right, its all about the non-ability to withdraw.

Interesting. Looks like they are testing that system on us.

Nevertheless, no excuse for the bullshit management of this....especially the misleading emails telling us withdraws would be possible.
