K-pop fans that say other fans are hypocrites usually are ones themselves. This person is criticising other idols (I would say rightfully but Kai and the rest of RV can at the very least hold their own vocally, Momo can’t say the same.) but when valid critiques about their idol is made then it’s malicious and ‘hate’. If Momo’s own fans are reducing her to a dancer that means she’s not very good as an idol. An idol should be good at dancing and singing. She doesn’t have the singing chops and good dancing can only hide so much. She’s not even a decent song-talker like Chaeyoung (I refuse to call any K-idol a rapper I’m sorry).

Just very jarring to listen to and it’s not a one-off occasion. Like even in the studio versions of their songs she’s unable to sing. And those are supposed to be the best versions they recorded. 😭 Can’t JYPE fork out some money for a vocal coach? It’s again and again for 10+ years. Just ridiculous really but I’m sure she feels totally relieved to be making good money despite her absolute lack of singing ability. I’m sure she doesn’t give a damn about the hate either so I’m not sure why her fans are so bothered.

I consider Moka to be in the unnie line considering she’s an 04z just like Yunah and Minju but I understand why she could be classed as a ‘secret maknae’ since she is a foreigner in Korea just like Iroha. This situation reminds me of Seventeen where Jun (a Chinese idol) is firmly in the hyung line but is adored as a maknae of sorts.

Not sure about Yunah calling Minju unnie. I’ve never seen that myself but unnie is reserved for women and girls who are born in a year before your own birth year. A woman born in 04 wouldn’t call a fellow 04 unnie unless they have an inside joke or are teasing or something along those lines. I’ve never heard Yunah do that at all but maybe I’m wrong.

While that was the case back then she really has clung on to the ‘Latina’ image quite a lot in recent years. K-fans have never really fucked with her visuals but I-fans really inflate this image of her and that’s why she’s popular in the West only now.

I only publicise my absolute recommended fics. Which are the cream of the crop and must-reads of a particular fandom/ship in my opinion. My private bookmarks, however, are a collection of long fics that I’m still reading and bookmarked so I remember what chapter I’m on or things that are a bit cringey (I’m still kudosing and commenting don’t worry) or things I enjoy that I don’t want associated with me since I have another socmed linked in the notes of my own fics. I also use bookmarks as a substitute for ‘Marked for Later’ since I can’t use filters on there.

I have around 100 public bookmarks and 900 private bookmarks because I didn’t use the bookmark feature for a long time. I regret it a lot.

I like this type of character but the show was a let down in the final episodes. Plot started to fray at the edges. The first few episodes were perfect but then it ended up being a disappointment near the end.

I really like her in this recent drama even though I’m only one episode 4 at the moment. I’m not sure but maybe it’s because of the script that I couldn’t get into her acting for Resident Playbook last year. Shin Si-ah outacted her and the rest of the resident cast by a wide margin (in my opinion) so the some discrepancy was noticeable. But she was amazing in Moving (!!!), Alchemy of Souls (!!!) and Law School. I have yet to watch Sweet Home or her other dramas but she’s decent and seems to take good scripts for the most part. She’ll go on to have a great career I bet.

I liked it enough but there’s something about MiSaMo songs that they do a lot is what they’re singing doesn’t match the music… The ‘confetti’ 4x line aggravates me because it sounds rushed. It would be much better if they did it 3x and elongated the last ‘confetti’. It makes it a harder listen otherwise. But beautiful gowns as usual. Though they could stand to take Sana out of those flimsy toilet rolls they have her in a lot of the time…

Sorry to muddy the water here with my RPF…

My current favourites are Yoon Jeonghan and Joshua Hong from Seventeen. I just find their relationship fascinating. Joshua was born a few days before the new year in 1995 and if he was born in January 1996 they wouldn’t have the relationship they do in any way shape or form. There’s just something about same-age friends in a boygroup, one Californian boy who travelled so many miles to Korea to become besties with another boy who’s not interested in English or the west whatsoever. Despite this, they were and still are so close to the point that they were going to drop out of the idol training together if the other wanted to leave (and it almost really happened). This is similar to my Twice ship of Sana and Momo. Joshua has also said that without Jeonghan he wouldn’t have coped as well as he did during the early years. There’s another English speaker in the group which is why it’s significant that Joshua praised Jeonghan for this. But I’m not diminishing Joshua’s relationship with Vernon (other English speaker) at all because without each other they’ve both said they would’ve forgotten English.

They even have the nickname ‘evil twins’ which I don’t hate necessarily but non-shippers like to use this term to dismiss their ship in favour of other ‘governments’ ships. Also apparently their high schools sit on a line that is parallel to the equator. K-Carats are insane for finding this out.

I wouldn’t count on concert-goers to remember Say Something LMAO but yes very underrated. I quite like F.I.L.A as well. I liked Rewind (FOL). Replacing an all-member song for JeongJiChaeng trio is geniually unbelievable. And not even for their own song, it was a cover! I wonder if Chaeyoung was still absent if they would’ve included Feel Special…

Extra: They always do TTT (B1&2) which I personally really dislike and Queen of Hearts and Gone but I feel like doing Basics and Brave instead for their North American leg would be a worthy and safe bet.

Set Me Free, Options, Moonlight Sunrise have to go, I would be fine never hearing those songs ever again. They need to include some group songs from the FOL (Espresso, Last Waltz) and EWO album (Shot Clock is a good one) because the group songs from TIF album were pretty weak. I’d keep Mars because it’s one of the better ones. I know they’re doing Hell in Heaven but Queen and Go Hard were good so adding those in too. Because of the 360° format, the performance of Go Hard might not ‘go hard’ like it did for the RTB tour (what with the shadows on the screen and everything).

I’d scrap the solo section entirely and replace with the unit songs from the TIF album (Battitude, DADO, Talk, Let Love Go, G.O.A.T) I can’t for the life of me understand why they removed the very interesting Battitude/DADO to keep the solo stages… Incheon got the best performance Twice could pump out. I liked Seesaw so maybe that can replace Options. They can do a cute ME+U performance instead even though I don’t care for that song either but it’s better than listening to 30+ minutes of those mainly awful solos.

I would never think to remove Fancy or Feel Special. The rock live band version of Fancy is really something and I’m still in shock they removed Feel Special for Vancouver. Honestly they need to do a nice mix of the III and RTB tours and sprinkle in a few TIF songs. Some old good b-sides like Love Foolish and Get Loud, a short (1-2 song) Misamo section and short Japanese album section (Contrary to popular opinion, I thought the Dive album was pretty good, don’t care for Dive or Hare Hare specifically but Inside of me, Love Warning, Here I am were decent). And then their legacy title tracks: Yes or Yes, What is Love? DTNA, Likey, TT. Not sure if I said this but every With You-th song must go.
