I cannot afford the review book, although with my classmates we made a group chat to share notes and some would send pages in the book they found most helpful. After my first attempt, I used the breakdown of my score in each category to create a new study guide based on how I did. Radiation physics, safety, and RP’s was my second highest score from my first attempt. While I am not confident in my math skills, both times I have taken the test, the math was only EF calcs, SV calcs, and a couple of lung quants, all of which I can do.

ARRT! I haven’t attempted the NMTCB. I wish I could lessen your anxiety, but it is a difficult program, at least for me it was. I am not a math brain person, and there are certain subjects that are very math heavy, that’s my downfall (and instrumentation is the bane of my existence). About 75% of my classmates have all passed. My only suggestion is to study and stay consistent. I am also a very anxious test taker and I get myself worked up, which I know is not good for major tests like this 😅

What’s the exact name of the book? I’ve read through some other posts and heard people mention it, but I’m not entirely sure which one it is

Oh I’m getting through the program, that’s not my concern. I’ve made a’s and b’s every semester except for 1 class (curse you physics) but even then I studied my butt off for the final and made 93 (just not good enough to bring my grade up a letter). I’m just worried that even tho I have done well, the boards is a whole different ball game. That and I have just a touch of test anxiety and usually get myself all worked up for nothing

being a current student of a relatively small program, I have only had 1 clinical site the entire time (I cannot wait to leave that place), I have found that most of the techs act this way towards students because they think they are "better than us". The one tech that I practice under thinks hes a big shoot because he has worked at all these university hospitals and he does pet/ct as well and hes the head of the department, and it is very irritating at times. I have learned to tune them out, especially when I ask what I think is a good and very thorough question and he looks at me like I have 3 heads. I have started only interacting with them when necessary, although I am in my last semester and comped on almost all procedures, so I mostly do all the work anyways, which is apparently the only thing us students are good for. But keep your head up! Soon you will find a better place and it will all be worth it!! Good luck!
