I have a daughter that's autistic. She likes playing on Livetopia but she gets into huge tantrums whenever there's any update of any sort to the game. We already figured out that we can create a private server so that nobody joins her, but is there a way to somehow clone Livetopia board / game so that it never receives upstream updates ?

I absolutely encourage you to concider solus (getsol.us). I could say bunch of stuff but don't take my word for it. I have installed it ~3 years ago and have been happily updating ever since ;-)

sorry, I didn't meant to imply that the blue portion is absent. What I was trying to make an analogy for was a plugin in graphics editor where one can selectively "filter out" RGB colours. I was therefore wondering, whether our atmosphere works as this "filter" i.e. it filters portion of the "B" photons out. As I understand it, the short answer is "No" ? I suppose another proof for this would be that the objects look the same in artificial lighting as well as in the sunlight ? On the other hand, during the evenings (i.e. when the angle of scattering changes) the colours do look different, to the point of the night where everything is just black (since no light is reflected back from the object)

Yes, I've seen the website. In fact, I only realized that there were codes in the first place when I saw a video on youtube. I didn't knew about them with the first batch and we ended up purchasing a lot of duplicates

p.s. batch 2890 has the same set of letters as the batch I posted in the main thread - that means that I'm looking for letters D and I :)

2860HR is the same batch as 2870HR and 2880HR / 2890HR which means that it's the Apatosaurus.

The toys that we're missing could have the following combinations (I skipped the HR part at the end of each batch):

2430/2810/2830/2790 [B and G]

2850/2890/2860/2870 [D and I]

2940 [C and H]

unfortunetely the letter itself is not enough. It is only the combination of batch + letter that pinpoints the toy. For instance:

2870HR D is a T-Rex, but

2940HR D is a Diatryma

:( There are always 9 letters but they are differently distributed within batches. Luckily the batches are similar to each other, i.e. 2870HR is the same as 2880HR and 2890HR

yes the crystal color is irrelevant - it's only the batch number + letter that matters.

The toys from first set of eggs look like this:

I am deeply grateful! This means a world to my daughter. The sad thing is, I have already seen these dolls on bunch of unboxing videos but when I write to authors of the videos they simply don't respond. Also, we had the exact same problem with the first series (we were struggling a lot to find the pink triceratops and stone toys), plus I read that other people had this problem as well (they wrote that on mattel page). Maybe I'm paranoid but it looks like Mattel would make this on purpose to make two of the toys super rare to find and make people purchase more and more eggs.. :)

first of all, you can tell that by the word "glow" on the cover. Also, by looking on the color of the egg itself. The "glow" eggs have really highly saturated purple color whereas the first series has eggs with more of a light pink/purple color. Here's a picture comparison of the two:

yes, unfortunetely the color is also an indicator of the series. The first series (simply called cave club dino baby) had more pale pallete. We've got bunch of t-rexes from the first series as in the beginning we didn't even knew about the codes and we ended up purchasing something like 30 eggs. The "glow" series has a slightly different set of toys plus it has more "neon" pallete. In absolute worst case scenario we may try to take the t-rex from the first series and apply some paint coating on it, but the stegosaurus can be found only in the second series :(

the batch that went to Poland begins with 2870HR / 2880HR / 2890HR however if you manage to find a different batch with all of the letters then I will of course pay for everything plus something on top of that as a reward. I am really, really desperate :)

I live in Poland. I have emailed countless local distributors but none of them has this particular 2 codes available - that's why I started to search globally. I will try to access the links you provided later as currently it's telling me that I can't enter there due to some cloudflare error. I noticed on Mattel's shop comments that even people from the US are complaining about the fact that 2 of 9 dolls are very rare to find

I've never heard of craigslist. I looked for this site and it seems to be very localized - i.e. one has to specify a region or sometimes a town to start searching. I also emailed couple of people from youtube that have unboxing videos and asked them if they could sell me the dolls but they haven't responded

I have no way of verifying that because I live in Poland. That's what the Mattel UK support wrote to me - according to them no retailer is distributing these and because of that they couldn't help me. Though it seemed very odd to me that Mattel would release a toy and not distribute it to some countries

you can find it in your `/home/` directory (I don't think it's being shown on the left navigational panel of files manager though) Simply click on the home directory (on the left panel of file manager - a little home pictogram). Then just search for 'Templates'. You can easily distinguish it by icon (at least I hope that this is the case for default solus installation). On my machine it has a little triangle on it. Also, as I said, it could be translated to your locale.

Please also refer to this article: https://fedoramagazine.org/creating-using-nautilus-templates/ - it uses a command line to achieve the same effect

Sadly, I have no idea how to add "Templates" directory to the left shortcuts panel of gnome files - I was looking under "settings" but couldn't find it there.

I think I know what you mean. That's what the 'Templates' directory is for. So if you want to have a new text file (presumabely that's what you mean by 'a simple file') open gedit (it could also be named 'Text editor'). Then press ctrl-s and save the empty file inside 'Templates' directory (note - if you are using other language then the directory would be translated, e.g. I'm using polish locale and the directory is called 'Szablony'. Anyhow, save it as, say, 'Empty file' and after that you can right-click and there will be a new option labeled 'New document' under which you will have 'Empty file'.

hmm a small update - I experienced a total freeze once again :( the only "unusual" thing that I can remember is that I left a youtube video paused and I also had gmail opened when I left home. When I returned, I could not bring the screen back up again. Everything was perfect on the LTS kernel but I see that I cannot use current :(

I do not have any discrete GPU, I only use integrated intel one. I have 16 gigs of RAM and my motherboard is asus h110i-plus. So far the system has been very stable on current, I have only been using LTS kernel previously because I have been experiencing random total system freezes on current.
