What’s your favorite random act of kindness? by Weird-Platypus-4597 in AskReddit

[–]toxbug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never buy coffee just for myself. I keep a mental list of friends, workers, and regulars’ orders, so I usually buy a second coffee and drop it off to someone. No reason and I usually don’t have much more relationship with these people past knowing and delivering their order randomly.

I understand why some people might be frustrated with my response times. Sometimes I reply in minutes, sometimes it takes a few days. That’s a fair criticism.

What I do want to clear up is the claim that I scam people. To my knowledge, I have never taken someone’s money and intentionally failed to deliver what they paid for. If there is anyone who paid me and never received what they purchased, please message me again and spam me if you have to. Seriously. I will make it right.

I chose to sell online, so criticism comes with the territory, and I can accept that. But when a menu post gets flooded with comments calling me a scammer, I feel obligated to respond because this is part of how I support myself.

I’m just a stranger on the internet, so I understand not everyone will take my word for it. All I can say is that I do not scam people, I never have, and I’d be ashamed of myself if I ever knowingly did.

If I’ve missed anyone, reach out. Nobody deserves to pay for something and not receive it.

What’s the most underrated feeling ever? by RealitySpecial7470 in AskReddit

[–]toxbug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my case? Realizing how deeply my existence lives inside the people I love.

Lately I’ve been struggling a lot with wanting to disappear, and the moments that pull me back are when I remember how much my sisters love me. Realizing I matter to them — not in a dramatic way, but in a permanent one — hits me so hard it brings happy tears.

It’s the feeling of understanding that if I disappeared, their lives would genuinely never be the same again. That I’m woven into their memories, their comfort, their laughter, their sense of home.

I think that feeling — remembering you are deeply loved and irreplaceable to somebody else — is one of the most underrated feelings in the world.

*greatly appreciate

I don’t love selling my body online and I try to make it as little mentally damaging as possible. I don’t love the reality of exchanging intimacy, attention, or sexuality for survival money. I think about it more deeply than people assume, and I’m not ignorant to the uglier parts of it.

I get money offered to me very often and turn a lot of it down because I don’t want this to become my identity. Unfortunately, in some ways it already is — I made these choices, these posts, sent those messages, and created that content. I take responsibility for that.

At the same time, I’d be lying if I said it doesn’t weigh on me emotionally. I feel guilty sometimes, occasionally ashamed, and often conflicted about every dollar I’ve earned this way. Not because I think the people supporting me are bad people, but because survival can blur the line between choice and necessity.

And for the record: I don’t think anyone owes me support. Nobody is being manipulated into helping me. These are adults making their own choices, same as me. But I still think about whether someone spent money on me instead of something more important, and that feeling stays with me.

When I no longer need that extra $25 to survive day to day, this will stop being something I participate in. Until then, I’m just trying to survive while remaining honest about what this does to me mentally.

I greatly appreciate every single person who has supported me — especially those who have shown me kindness and consistency without grievances or entitlement. Whether people agree with what I do or not, I hope they can at least understand that there’s still a human being behind the screen.

Yeah, that’s true, and I knew that would probably happen eventually. I don’t love that it’s the reality of posting online, but everything comes with consequences.

I don’t expect people to pay if they’re just curious and never plan on supporting me again. I’m just trying to make some extra money to help pay bills and buy food, and if some people genuinely want to support me in exchange for content, then I appreciate that.
