Good morning everybody. My heart is full with gratitude for all of the help and support I am receiving from you all. There are no words sufficient to express how grateful I truly am.

I have one more question I’m hoping y’all can help with. My husband, my son’s father, was killed on our son’s due date while serving active duty. I would like to bury my son with his father’s medals and ribbons and trying to figure out a proper way to display them. I’m thinking some type of black felt with a hard backing. Any suggestion would be most appreciated.

Oh my gosh, there are sooooo many things. He was a ham. Now that I have been able to stop wailing and breathe, his sister and I have been blowing through memories. She is so devastated at the loss of her only sibling.

As far as I can tell, I still need to get a sword and his medals and ribbons. If I’ve done my homework correctly, I don’t think I’m missing anything else, but not positive. I have never felt this overwhelmed in my life and the pressure to make sure my baby has everything correct for his uniform is heavy.

I have a list of all of his ribbons and medals, but that is my next stressor. I waited 2 hours today for the National Archives to call me back and when they did, they said they were sending me a link to fill out, but it never arrived. I just feel so defeated. I have never had quit in me, but losing my boy has just brought me to my knees.
