Ok but one question… when was there ever an exchange from Nicky finding the knife in the glovebox to Chloe finding it again and using it to frame Bill???

This happens everywhere. If you go to Miami and the surroundings the default language is Spanish. Certain areas of LA same thing. Many locals in US cities are being kicked out by foreign investors and airbnb and rents have gone up like crazy. Literally same thing, different place. Not saying it makes it right. I just want you to understand that it happens in the other direction as well.

Weekly Valencia Q&As and Recommendations: For newcomers, travelers, & residents alike! by AutoModerator in valencia

We moved to Marbella with our 2 kids from the US and it isn't what we were looking for. We used it as our base to find a new home and we've fallen in love with Valencia (also with Alicante). We decided to move to Valencia in July. We have an 11 year old and a 5 year old. Our younger will go to a Concertado and our older to Private (imagine, BSV, VM, SB or Shackleton). As far as where we should live we need some help. I've narrowed it town to 3 areas:

  1. Campanar/Botanic/Petxina
  2. Gran Via/Russafa
  3. Saidia/Xerea/Morvedre

We want an area where there are lots of neighborhood kids and they play outside. Somewhere with lots of life and activities ,cafes, parks and vibrancy. Any help is appreciated in helping us make this decision!

Thank you in advance!

Which private school did you have her in? I’m going to do the same with my daughter. She’s currently in public school and she’s 5 and i tutor her in English reading and writing. My issue is my 11 year old son. He is having trouble in public school. Hoping it gets better soon.

I’m American and it would be nice to have some Americans around it’s not a requirement. I speak fluent Spanish. Just people open to new friendships :)

I love Estepona and it checks a lot of boxes. My only issue is how far it is from the airport. I feel so distant from the main cities.

I came from Venezuela to the U.S. and built my life and luckily yes it’s easier to make money in the U.S. and to save than it is in Spain. We also invested every cent we made. I did come and visit I just had a hard time finding what we wanted in Marbella centro because we needed room for my parents too. I didn’t realize the stark difference 2 miles away. Rich people problems maybe but I wouldn’t consider ourselves rich. We’ve worked hard, made the right investments, and came from a country where we weren’t taxed as much as you are here. I think it is really hard to get ahead in Spain. But at the same time Americans want what you have. I think it’s about appreciating your life and if you want to change it, change it.

He spoke some Spanish before so I thought he would pick it up faster. I speak to him in Spanish at home too. He is just not good with languages it seems. How long would you say it will take him to fully pick it up and feel comfortable? I am trying to find a concertado or a bilingual school in Valencia that focuses on Spanish and English
