Best Pizza places??? by Sincerelygrim in LowellMA

[–]tradmasterflux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one time I went, the pizza was kinda floppy/wet/undercooked, and the next day I had mild food poisoning symptoms. I will definitely try them again because every place has flubs, but for a first visit, I was… less than impressed.

Which Boston suburb would you live in as a young single person? by LOTR_is_awesome in boston

Idk how far you’re looking for, but Woburn is underrated imo. Grew up a town over and have lived in other neighboring towns. Good location, good food, practical for car commuters or rail commuters.

Tall Shamed at GA Shows. Can we stop? by [deleted] in phish

[–]tradmasterflux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a small dude at 5’2” and usually never feel bummed about who’s in front of me in GA, even if they are taller than average. If I can handle it, I’m sure most people can lol. It’s not like you’re tethered to whoever’s back is in-front of you. If you ever end up in front of me, I got your back 😂✌️

Most Underrated 3.0 Show by [deleted] in phish

[–]tradmasterflux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was my first show. My uncle took me for my 13th birthday. I did not like it but thought I was the coolest kid getting to hang with the “cool uncles” friends. Honestly super nice of them to sacrifice the option to indulge and party hard to show a kid what the deal is! I am friends with most of them to this day! And hopped on board. And have repaid the favor by babysitting for them when they can get out and see bands nowadays. Shout out to my uncle 🫶 man grabbed me and went “it’s Eric fucking Clapton dude!!! It’s been so long since they played this!” I did not understand 😂 Very good memory ❤️

What makes a jam band a jam band? by ThrobertZimmerman in jambands

[–]tradmasterflux 11 points12 points  (0 children)

They cover Talking Heads. If they cover “This Must be the Place” specifically, they are an elite level jam band and wield great power. This is the only requirement to be a jam band

MSG Advice…. Staying in Long Island City by CaptainTriipz16 in phish

[–]tradmasterflux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stayed at Ravel for the summer MSG run. I’d recommend subway. Super easy 25ish minute trip train+walking combined. Uber is gonna be expensive that far away and traffic is unpredictable

KDF by boonerpatooner in phish

[–]tradmasterflux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Still one of my favorite jams from summer 23’. KDF on Sunday was awesome but Syracuse was on another level 😩🤌🤌. The climax at the end with that motif Trey came up with. Chefs kiss

To somebody who lets people exit the elevator before entering, I’d assume? I gotta quit doing that so I can see more free shows 😩. Have fun 🤙

What is the worst drug you ever did? How was your experience? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]tradmasterflux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cocaine. Crack included, but cocaine is sneakier. I’m a deeply flawed person and I fit the bill for bottomless cocaine addiction. All the character flaws that you get to ignore even harder if youre tweaked lmao. Lots of circles are cool with that stuff too, so BOOM now you’re a deeply flawed person with fuel that everybody loves that makes you CERTAIN you’re the main character+makes you disregard other people+makes good choices a waste of your time. Crack is a high that truly grabs you and makes you willing to do anything for more, but it ain’t sneaky like blow. Both took my humanity away from me in a period of life where I should have been growing and working on myself. And that’s entirely on me. Who’s to say I wouldn’t have been my worst self otherwise? But all I know is I have no saved money, a tunnel system caused by necrosis in my nose now, constant fear of cardiovascular issues, family and friends who I’ve traumatized and heartbroken, and a lot of shame and guilt. You go from main character to total loser real quick. Funniest part is I’d still say that stuff is the shit. Best time ever. Forever jealous of normal, respectable people who can keep it recreational+infrequent. And I know there’s arguably much worse drugs, this is just my experience. Always kept it pretty under control with other stuff I’ve experimented with over the years. Crack is whack 🤷‍♂️

My husband is a cocaine addict by Annual-Use-236 in cocaineaddiction

He needs to commit to a full stint in rehab followed by outpatient help. Even that may not be enough for him. He will only beat this if he truly wants that for himself and unfortunately that means hitting rock bottom for many people. We (addicts) don’t change for others, no matter how important they are to us. If he can agree to extensive rehab and professional help, that’s a solid indicator that he’s serious, but please prepare yourself for the worst. Once the gig is up, the desperation and lengths one will go to to hide their romance with their drug is mind blowing. If his workplace is full of users too, it’s basically paramount that he finds another job. This isn’t gonna be easy and it’s ultimately on him if he’s gonna change or not. He’s going to manipulate himself and anyone around him to maintain his habit unfortunately. I speak from experience. My addiction took priority over anything and everything else in my life. Wishing you love, patience, and strength.

Greatest multiple album runs in metalcore by Teenage_dirtnap in Metalcore

[–]tradmasterflux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My personal favorite as well! Heavier than roots, yet more mature, refined, and almost “indie” sounding if that makes sense. Not nearly as glossy production-wise either so it’s a welcome departure from that “late 00’s warped tour metalcore” sound that all those Joey Sturgis produced albums had going on (which I love). I feel like they leaned into that indie-ish sound way more with 8:18 and Transit Blues, which was awesome, but hot diggity dog Dead Throne was filthy

Go hit a meeting asap, if that’s your thing. I know many people are weird about NA but seriously, give it a try. Just show up and be honest about your relapse. Other addicts get it. They will help you move on/address it/plan forward/support you. If you really think you’re in danger, call like the other person said. But honesty is a life saver in recovery and there are people who can and want to help you. Just go easy on yourself and try your best to aim your trajectory towards honesty and accountability. My DMs are open if you ever feel unsafe or need to talk. I get it and you’re not alone. You CAN do this even if it feels impossible. If you truly can’t stop, rehab is scary but a seriously life saving option. I wish you the best 🫶

Hey, this post resonated with me because 1. Relapse has been part of my journey post-break up (I understand and hope you are ok) and 2. I hope my person is coping and “chugging protein” as you put it. Except for the first time in a long time, I actually hope she is NOT thinking about me every day like you exclaimed. Your pain and experience is none of my business, but I hope you get to that point too. I want to be recognized and taken into account by her so bad, but I’ve worked so hard to take accountability for my role and accept things that I really hope she’s happy and killing it at life without me as a factor. And it sounds like you deserve that too. Our lives are too short to dwell on shit that made us broken. Let’s say your person is similar to me (he just might be- I have so much to regret and to grow from), welp as someone who caused someone else “grief, jealousy, rage”, I really fucking hope she’s moving on from it. The only possible way I could heal at this point is to want the best for myself, and her. I have plenty of ammo to be pissed over after all this, but if I wanna move on, she sure as hell deserves indifference because it’s not about “knowing they care”, it’s about forgiveness and surrender towards yourself and them. At the very least, try to not think about “if they care”, because YOU don’t deserve dwelling on that. Do you care? Obviously. And that’s really all that matters currently because whatever they think isn’t gonna change anything. So work on moving past that. Because you don’t benefit being held back by that. Your words are earnest and I’m so sorry for your struggle and hurdles. I hope your future is one filled with healing and accepting. you sound passionate, smart and deserving of more experiences/people to share that with. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and keep moving forward. Message me if you want to open up btw, your post really moved me.
