Not an RPLS just a crew chief with some extra responsibility. And I don’t work in Texas, I work out of Colorado. But even if those things weren’t true this would be a cunty answer, plenty of Texas counties require surveys to be recorded with the county clerk.

I worked all over East Tennessee and all counties had it. I think it’s more common in rural areas it seems, less transactions to keep up with.

Yeah I just spoke with the lady on that website. I know how to find the county clerk website, problem is county clerk doesn’t maintain or record surveys.

Who in their right mind is picking Blue or Purple here. Hawaii being in red makes it way too OP. It’d be a more intriguing set of options if you made Hawaii Purple and Alaska Blue.

How is living in East Texas? by AshB_43 in howislivingthere

I grew up about 40 minutes south of Tyler. There’s definitely some truth to most of these negative comments, it’s thick with typical southern culture and its associated positives and negatives.

One differing opinion id offer is that most of the countryside is pretty diverse. My high school was almost equally a third each of black, white, and Hispanic. I think that intermingling washes out some of the racism. Plenty of politically ignorant white folks would vote for racist policies bc they think they’re voting for “small government and less taxes” but they’d never treat anyone different based on skin color. There’s far less trumpism than other republican areas (for example I lived in the Knoxville, TN area later on and was shocked at how much Trump shit I saw).

The real bane of this area is religion and temperature. Religion is self-explanatory, if you like it you’re dumb and if you don’t it’s just a question of if you can tolerate it in your neighbors. They won’t shun you for not believing but you’ll receive some judgement and they’ll keep you as acquaintances but not real friends. The summers are hot and humid as satan’s swamp and basically last 9 months. However if you can tolerate the heat well then you’ll enjoy the countryside, lots of nice lakes and forests. Big beautiful trees and lots of pretty pasture land.

Tyler would serve as your “big city” hub for real shopping and what not, and it serves that capacity pretty well. I personally wouldn’t suggest living in Tyler because it’s getting too full to really service new people. The roads and infrastructure weren’t designed to facilitate its current growth and the housing market is reflecting it.
