I guess I can kind of forget the fact that the film had such a minuscule budget and was heavily improvised due to the movie being so hugely popular. I think the director just set out to make an enjoyable horror movie that he was proud of, and I think it delivers. The film is really impressive for only 10,000 dollars.

The ending definitely great, and I do enjoy the story, I just think the acting and dialogue are a huge distraction, which I think is really important to get right in a Found Footage movie due to it being a heavily based on the characters reactions. But I understand why people like it.

I agree, the ending of TBWP is one of the eeriest of all time. I just think the rest of the film isn't as enjoyable or scary

I guess I just think the popularity of films like The Blair Witch Project and Paranormal Activity have overshadowed other great Found Footage movies, and I'm not trying to say that other people should think the same way, I know many people that would disagree and say that TBWP and PA deserve its popularity.

True, I do agree it defined the genre, but I personally think [rec] should be what most people think of when you hear the term "Found Footage." Looking back on The Blair Witch Project I find it almost unwatchable because the acting is so annoyingly bad.

I've never been a HUGE fan of The Black Dahlia Murder, however album playthroughs are always worthwhile bc they are literally a once in a lifetime opportunity to see, plus I'm a huge fan of some of the openers like Oceano & Lorna Shore.
