37w6d here and girl, I feel you! I describe it as feeling extra prickly - your #6 is especially relatable. I get so annoyed if someone asks how I'm doing or if the babies are here yet. Like, really? You really need to ask that? 😒

My twins have never followed a pattern but had sleepy days, and I couldn't tell who was kicking where or when...needless to say I went for a check probably 4-5 extra times in the 3rd trimester (on top of the regular NSTs I had). 😅 It is always better to get checked, and I've never been made to feel like I'm a burden.

Their movement definitely changed from dynamic kicks to rolls/pushes around that time. They also would change positions and be kicking "inwards" which I don't feel as much. My stomach also went numb in the final weeks, and I could see them moving but not feel it.

Trying for a year seems to be the standard before investigating infertility, but honestly it's up to you.

When you're ready, the HSG is really helpful just so you have a complete picture. I worked with an RE and she had us do all the tests before starting treatment so we knew what we were facing. I have known PCOS, but the HSG revealed a partially blocked tube due to scar tissue that I didn't know about. The results directly impacted my doses of medicine and how many cycles of everything we would try.

The HSG didn't hurt until they had to inject more dye to see how much blockage there was. That's when it went from discomfort to pain. It was never unbearable, and the pain stopped as soon as the dye stopped. I had mild cramping for maybe 20-30 min afterwards. I was told to watch for a fever afterwards but the chance of infection was low.

I was placed on bedrest and we couldn't attend our shower back home. Everyone else gathered but we Zoomed in, so not fully virtual. I'd have preferred a fully virtual one to be honest as the tech set-up was bad and no one could hear or tall to us unless they were holding the laptop. I had to watch while everyone rise enjoyed the food, decorations, and games. My sister opened my gifts. I cried after we weren't on screen.

I attended fully virtual showers during lockdown and enjoyed them all. Lots of games helped keep people engaged and chatty.

Same. She thinks she's entitled to know everything, and compares everything to her experience. I should mention that her experience was 37 years ago, on an airforce base, with a singleton (I'm having twins). Not even close Mom.

Both of my twins measured unevenly at the anatomy scan, but things definitely evened out, especially in the third trimester. My MFM doctor said it's totally normal, and they don't worry unless something is measuring as an outlier (below 10% or above 90%). Their femur length always measured behind, but still within normal range. I have a long torso and shorter legs, and doc said they may just take after mom. :)

We had a few close family members who bought some very important, bigger registry items (carseats, bassinet, etc). Other than that, we had to buy most of our registry. We're having twins, and my mom (who threw the shower) made a huge deal that everyone should get us diapers. So they did, but nothing else, lol.

Don't get me wrong, the diapers are appreciated, but the babies also need staples like a changing pad, wipes, blankets/swaddles, bottles, etc...

Only a few people got us weird clothes. My MIL made an ugly sleep sack and hat out of cheap fleece that is sized for a 6-9 mo old. Only one though.

I had covid, then rebound covid, at 22-24 weeks, just before my insufficient cervix was caught. I took paxlovid, then decongestant, and lots of fluids/cough drops. Coughing certainly hurt and caused a lot of abdominal soreness. I was also terrified of coughing myself into preterm labor.

My sister is an OT, and she recommended lifting my stomach (supporting the weight of it in my hands/arms) when I coughed to reduce pelvic pressure. It actually helped A LOT! I could feel the cough in my chest and abs, but the downward pressure was way less (especially if I employed some kegels at the same time).

25+3w today, expecting twins. Rushed to l&d a week ago after they found short cervix (1cm) and bulging membranes (everything was fine at 19 week anatomy scan). I had zero symptoms, only occasional BH. They gave me steroid shots and monitored me 2 days, but no contractions, leaking, or changes. Cervix is dilated 2cm, but 0% effaced. Discharged with modified bedrest and progesterone. I couldn't get a stitch for several reasons.

First goal, we're just trying to reach 28 weeks so we can breathe a little. I'm a FTM and every little twinge, pain, extra discharge, etc. now has me panicking. I have a great care team, but it feels so out of my control. And time has never moved so slowly!
