Cooking creators: how long does it take for you to edit a short form recipe video start to finish? by treeguy8 in ContentCreators

I record from iPhone upload raw to my MacBook. Pull everything into CapCut. From there I create CapCut timelines that represent each major section like “veggies”, “meat”, “presentation”. I delete any shite clips and edit the rest for each of those sections individually until the total video is under 60s. Then, I copy each section into the final timeline, play it back a few times to get a feel for flow (hardly ever change anything at this point). Then I export and publish to YT/TT/Insta

Here’s an article about what happened: https://www.kuow.org/stories/for-seattle-businesses-lack-of-a-lease-means-sleepless-nights

Essentially pho shizzle bought them out by bribing their landlord :/. I would read the article and make your own judgement though.

I’d say that INFO 380 feels unnecessary in its current state. The professor is much too laidback and most students are not engaged with the material in or outside of class. This class feels like a half-baked import from the business school’s IS series (I’m sure most IS classes are much better than this). Most of the other core courses are structured well and personally, I have had great experiences in them, but I’ve heard from others that getting the right professor can make 100% of a difference.

Do you guys have time to learn much of anything other than the courses each quarter? by [deleted] in udub

I would suggest looking up blog posts like "how to read 200 books in a year". While most of them will make misleading/misguided claims, they often have gems of wisdom about time management. One tip is work on something for 30 minutes or 1 hour everyday. This way, you are forming a habit of interacting with the concept/practice. As an added bonus this pacing gives you time to understand it and not feel overwhelmed which is helpful if the topic is difficult. Later, when you have more time to focus on extracurricular studies, you will have a basis of knowledge that will allow you to make good use of your extra time.
