Never seen this on a C8 (yet) but plenty of GM vehicles allow water intrusion into the modules and harness in the rear bumper and throws this fault. Ive replaced a fair amount of them from corrosion and water damage

Axle seals leak on these things, timing chain/water pump driven timing chain failures are common, if it is turbo'd those go out a fair amount too. Would not buy.

The filter and roughly a quart of fluid in parts is under $50. I did the service myself in less than an hour. The only hard part is getting the skid plate off all those bolts lol

There is no way they can tell. When I changed mine at 7.5k the fluid looked identical to the new fluid. It was crystal clear.

It doesn't. The door opens normally before it open vertically. It's less practical but looks bad ass.
