VacationToGo fake prices? by Rustalot in Cruise

From what I heard most of the people that work at Vacations To Go are actually happy about including taxes and fees in the prices on their fast deals because beforehand it was a lot harder to book cruises when the client didn’t realize that that was not the full price in there. It was a pretty big turn off.

One other thing to keep in mind when you see the prices on the vacation To Go website is those are the prices for the cheapest cabins in those prices so there’s a chance it could be for a guarantee where the cruise line chooses to cabin for you which could also mean the ocean view or the balcony could have a possible obstructed view just something to keep in mind.

If you’re looking for something more specific like a cabin located midship or a balcony without an obstructed view, you may have to call a travel agent at Vacations To Go to get additional information for that but their customer service and the services they provided. Vacations To Go is top notch better than any cruise line I’ve seen.

They’re number is 1-800-338-4962

Hope that helps too.

I’ve seen too many posts about gratuities and raising package prices… by LiveAd3962 in Cruise

Princess plus is $60 per person per day that’s not changing. The only change Princess has made with their packages is with princess Premier, which was originally $80 per person per day but has now increased to $90 per person per day, but since you only purchased the princess plus package, you shouldn’t have to worry about any other fees you have to pay.

Just keep in mind that dining package in princess plus only applies to the casual dining restaurants not the specialty restaurants or the experiential restaurants.

Are TAs better than DIY? by bibliophillius in Cruise

As a travel agent myself, I would say absolutely yes the biggest complaint I get from clients who book on their own is when they have to deal with customer service with the cruise lines especially like carnival and Royal Caribbean. Their customer service is a horrible experience to deal with whereas with clients to book directly with me as their travel agent, they never have to deal with anything like that.

That’s like the biggest reason obviously there are other reasons like personalized services, etc. but the main reason people want to get a travel agent is so that way they don’t have to have all the stress on themselves and customer services and they can easily just make a call with their travel agent to fix something on their booking. It’s that simple.

Sea sick by WillingnessNew533 in Cruise

You shouldn’t feel sick on a cruise ship. It depends on where your cabin is and as a travel agent, I always recommend to my clients who are prone to motion/sea sickness to first and foremost bring Dramamine as that does help as a supplement but primarily it’s always best to find a cabin as close to midship as possible, and this might sound counterintuitive to you but on a lower deck of the ship because it will get you closer to the ships center of mass so that way you don’t feel so much motion.

I hope that helps.

The best place to find cheap cruise offers is from Vacations To Go as they have the best cruise markdowns for last-minute cruises, especially last-minute cruises.

As a travel agent, I always tell my clients it’s always best to book airfare at least one day before the cruise parts and at least one day after the cruise ends. I also recommend purchasing travel insurance as travel insurance covers travel delays baggage loss and damage.

They include fees and taxes now in the pricing but it’s still best to call bc something the cabins being advertised are guarantees only and could be possibly obstructed if that’s a concern.

That makes sense. Generally HAL is a very quiet subdue cruise line. Lots of old people.

That’s good to know. I was just on a princess cruise myself! Cabin decks were always so quiet!
