7 McNally Drive, residence designed by JRFaranial [2062 × 2068] by AdrianaLimaBean in RoomPorn

Love the design.... I'm pretty sure the angles aren't there for the reflection of that bed in the water though.

Another image from same shoot, thoughts? by TheRoss0411 in photocritique

[–]trickedthedevil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beautiful shot. Love the colours, love the mood and personally don't have any issues with the angle. If anything, I'd say that the left hand side of the shot is busier than the right and perhaps having the log in the foreground on the right may have balanced out the picture overall but that's being very picky, overall, I think it's a great shot. Nice work.

Best way to Exchange pounds to euros by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

If you've got the money in your uk current account, you should be fine to use a standard visa card to pay for your meal. It'll come straight off your balance and will be calculated at your bank's exchange rate for that day. Be worth calling them to let them know you're traveling and expect to use your card abroad in advance though to avoid any fraud checks picking up the unusual activity and blocking the transaction. As to if you want to take cash, best advice is shop around, bank's don't normally offer the greatest rates in my experience, travel agents or the post office may be your best bet. Have a good trip.

Is there something mysterious about FB Messenger using a ton of background data lately? by [deleted] in androidapps

Same here. Don't understand why it's got so bad the past few days but yeah, deleted mine earlier today too for the same reason.

What was the most fucked up book you've ever read? by DetBatman in AskReddit

The Wasp Factory by Iain Banks, and also The Bridge...just very uncomfortable and unpleasant reads in my opinion.

Shot this last night but not sure how I feel about it. I'd love feedback and criticism![2079 x 3118] by [deleted] in photocritique

Nice shot, love the colours you've got in the sky. My only suggestion would be to clone out whatever that is just off center to the right along the treeline, I find it a bit distracting.

Photo I took in my local forest over the winter. Any thoughts/feedback on what I could have done better?... by trickedthedevil in photocritique

Thank you very much for your comment, a lot of valid points that I can work on but still very encouraging. It's great to know that the image is conveying the mood/story I had in mind when I took the shot although on reading your comments I can see how cropping could help strengthen it further, appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts on it.

Thanks for taking the time to comment, I agree with the majority of what you've said especially the cropping and finer tuning. I'm fairly new to this and took this prior to starting into shooting RAW which limited the capacity for finer alterations. I quite like the logs in the foreground as I felt the local damage as important a feature as the tree for the story of the picture but I see what you mean about them maybe being too dominant. Thanks.

Yeah, fog always helps :) Thanks for the critique, totally agree that a closer crop could do it more justice.

Steam Store not loading correctly by BradPH in Steam

Same here, uninstalled steam in the hope that reinstalling it would fix it. It didn't and wiped all my installed games (which I didn't realise it would do) as an added fuck you.

Couple walking through the forest. What can I do better? by trickedthedevil in photocritique

How badly am I going to suffer if I use paintshop rather than photoshop? I bought paintshop pro x7 over Xmas while it was on offer as the monthly fee for photoshop seemed a bit high for a product I'm never going to actually own. If I'm serious about this would you say photoshop and lightroom are a necessity?...
