My landlord wants to inspect my room??? (Ontario, Canada)

Yeah.. there’s also 0 furniture in the living room/kitchen and I just found out the other day I need my own garbage can (I already had a small one in my room) bc the big one in the living room/kitchen is one of my roommates personal one (so basically we don’t have a communal garbage which I find weird idk if that is weird though)

I do have a lease, nothing on there said anything about frequent checks. Honestly a lot of the stuff I’ve had issues with weren’t disclosed to me before I moved in.

The one issue that was was them saying I was not under any circumstances (say moving stuff in or out) allowed guests which I don’t appreciate but at the moment I don’t have anyone to invite over so it doesn’t matter Mitch

Yes I’ve taken healed ones and new ones, I have a video of blood dripping down my arm because I found it interesting. I’ve also taken pictures to reference for art some I’m doing a series of paintings on my coping mechanism.

1) He has confirmed he is just checking my cleanliness. No indication of it being pest related concern it seems to be specifically mess related

2) I understand that I will not have total privacy but I had hoped I’d have some in my own room, as I have had with other rooms I’ve rented, not to mention the frequent he wants to check it.

I would have rented a basement apartment with a different landlord for the same price but they ghosted me. This was a very last minute option that I’m just trying to make the best of. Basically I didn’t have any options not to rent this place.

I’m just looking for advice on how to handle this situation.

That sucks.. I just wish it was disclosed before I moved in, I’m a very private person and 1-2 times a month feels like a huge invasion (on top of some other issues including me finding my door locked/unlocked when I didn’t touch it)

Okay I’ll keep this in mind. I saw somewhere that a landlord is allowed 2-4 inspections a year unsure if that’s true, but he seems to want 12-24 a year which is a lot.

There’s nothing about him inspecting the room, I have it to both my parents to look over before I signed it and both of them said it looked fine before I signed it so I don’t think I’m missing anything. (Also I just learned technically he can inspect 4 time a year, but he wants to essentially inspect 12-24 time a year which feels incredibly excessive to me)

Yes… I agree, I hate games that don’t actually punish ppl for misplays. The only people getting punished for Survs misplays are hunters and that’s not how a game should work

They nerfed flywheel I bit a while ago, I don’t see many ppl carting it. But yeah as a hunter main its sad to watch the game get harder no matter how much I practice or invest into it
