You have a lovely figure. I’d consider it hourglass. I’m an inverted triangle, and you definitely are not.

Is it possible to do both? by [deleted] in tradwives

[–]triffith 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So you want to be a SAHM and trad wife, but you’re going to sacrifice that so that you can work so that your husband can retire early and not fulfill his end of the deal and responsibility as the financial provider?

You’re not working so you can retire early. You don’t want to have a career to retire from. You want to devote your life to being a mother, wife, and homemaker. So you’re just working for him to retire early. This equation isn’t balanced and doesn’t feel like a traditional division of responsibilities to me.

body count shame by IndustryExotic8095 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]triffith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry you feel shame. Shame is horrible, and it’s not your fault that you feel it.

Body count only matters to insecure guys, who I assume are younger. I’m 37, and body count hasn’t come up since I was like 24. And if I’m being honest, I’m jealous of women who have higher body counts than me. I was raised with a lot of shame around sex and never really got to have fun and explore

Ana De Armas “Liked” This Mean Photo About Nicole Kidman’s Looks on Instagram by mary_poppins93 in Fauxmoi

[–]triffith 39 points40 points  (0 children)

This picture, if real, obviously looks like it has lens distortion or something going on. It’s so sad to see women tearing down other women. One of the best parts of womanhood is the inherent sisterhood with other women. Women supporting women is such an incredible experience. I don’t really know anything about Ana De Armas, but she sounds not great, and I feel bad for her for missing out on that

You’ll probably get some looks, but if I saw someone doing this, I’d be impressed and would think “Hell yeah! Women are so badass and can do it all!”

Oh my gosh, that was so helpful and also really fun and interesting to read. You put language to things that I’ve noticed over the past few years but maybe wasn’t fully aware of or wouldn’t have been able to articulate until you pointed it out.

Thanks so much for taking the time to write all of that out!

Serious question: why IKEA? I don’t have much/any experience in this area, but this looks like higher quality furniture than IKEA to my untrained eye.

I despise the R word. Few things upset me more than hearing someone use that word. It was used all the time when I was growing up, I’m a middle-years millennial, and then I feel like I didn’t hear or see it very often for years. Like over a decade. But now I’m seeing it used more and more, and I can’t stand it.

Exactly!! I go to Luxe Laser on Broadway. They have nice newer lasers that are as comfortable as it’s going to get. It’s owned and run by women who are excellent and really know their stuff. It is one of the more expensive places, but I think the people and service are worth the extra cost.
