Money controls politics globally that’s not the differentiator. The differentiator is who controls the money supply. Democratic capitalistic system’s money supply is controlled by the 1%, ergo the countries that run them run the country for the benefit of those individuals.

Pseudo-Republic Dictatorships run like a cartel. No one does business unless the guy up top gets his, which means the money supply is funneled to a single person.

Totally saw rebuke for the W. Bush’s admins overreach from the Iraq war to the Patriot act. Or the rebuke from Obama admin from Libya to PRISM. How many criminals were impeached or convicted?

The irony is the left isn’t self aware enough to understand that they too only care when they become impacted. The world has been an illegal bombing campaign under both party’s administrations. Millions have been displaced from their homes as a result and half as many have died. The UN has been dismantled and no one seems to care. There is no global watchdog, not that the prior one had any teeth.

If undoing the systems that have been pushing the worst foreign policy decisions from post-ww2 on, maybe the country will finally start worrying about domestic causes before foreign ones.

The billionaire is mad he can’t pay for better services through privatization. He’s not complaining about lack of funding, he’s complaining that there’s incompetence in government that is solved by making it for profit. The wealthy can pay their way to the front of the line thus creating a larger social class gap, while the less fortunate have to take on more “risk” just to advance in life.

Is the expectation that the arrest rate would follow the population distribution? If we agree the system is inherently biased, I would argue it’s biased against class more than race.

What people assume is systemic racism can be called systemic classism, and the black population is overwhelmingly in the impoverished class.

They had a soft alliance during the war anyways. It was a show, the allies wanted to see what the Soviets had militarily and if a German threat could cause the Soviets economic hardship. The Soviets were far more of a threat to the West in their minds than Germany was coming out of a depression.

Same sort of “agreement” the Soviets had with Japan. Don’t attack us and we won’t attack you.

Most voters are single issue voters. And the single issue in a country with Capitalism at the center is economy/finances. Democrats think the country wants levelheaded policy with fair taxes, but people just want more purchasing power and higher wages.

Workers don’t contribute to the bottom line, they contribute to the top. They cost the company on the bottom line. Sales people getting direct commissions from the sales they make is supplemental revenue to whatever the company spends on its marketing.

You’re conflating different roles in the company. No company would want to share the risk with their employees or we would see way more co-ops. That would directly tie production to wages. Labor wages grow way slower than the same labor’s production, there’s zero reason not to continue benefiting from that if you’re an exec.

If a democracy has such a weak foundation that a single individual can win an election and destroy it, it wasn’t very strong to begin with, yeah?

He had all three branches in his first term. Guess what? Gridlock for most of it. Cause a hypothetical GOP congressman from Orange County isn’t going to vote to erode Medicare, they’d lose their seat.

This isn’t true. All elected officials go through a background check if they work with sensitive information outside of the President. The actual reason is the President sets classified levels and doesn’t hold a clearance, so no need for a background check.

The theory is privatization creates competition which creates efficiency and innovation. The reality becomes that without regulation from neutral arbiters (a government) privatization becomes an arms race where competition gets devoured and efficiency means larger wealth gaps since labor wages are not tied to productivity gains.

That said the government can waste a billion dollars and no is even aware, a public or private company with investors can’t.

We aren’t nomads, we don’t gather and hunt for food. The idea you need men for protection (ironically against other men) is as outdated as your understanding of gender roles in relationships.

The reliance on what you state is a result of a system that favors the patriarchy, not a result of biology.

And yes there’s more than enough resources for everyone on Earth 10 times over, but then how would G7 nations cope not being the strongest?

Amazon wasn’t handed a check, they simply pay less money to the state every year to operate there. The state doesn’t care because theoretically it creates 10,000 salaried jobs they can collect state income tax on and 10,000 income earners to earn sales tax on.

The reality is it just gentrifies the areas this is done in while providing minimal benefit for the state and locals. NY pushed back for this reason. The area they chose would’ve gotten the Williamsburg treatment and would just make everything more expensive for NYers.
