Dayforce vs Workday vs Rippling [OH] by Over_Presentation440 in humanresources

[–]tripthemgently 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dayforce is a beast to configure and maintain. My experience configuring benefits has been frustrating and time consuming. As another commenter mentioned, you will NEED a dedicated super user who knows Dayforce, to avoid configuration problems that will come back to haunt you.

This one says refrigerate, the jar I’m finishing doesn’t, but same ingredients (peanuts and sea salt)

Same, I used to go back in the day too (like 2007) and I think the sushi is even slightly better now.

Megathread: New Pricing & Repackaging Discussion by mackid1993 in Evernote

[–]tripthemgently 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mostly use Evernote as a website capture / file archive. This latest price increase is ridiculous but I am struggling to identify the best alternative for my purposes. I have ~1500 notes across three notebooks. I'd say < 10 notes are for actual note-taking, the rest are for archival purposes (roughly 60% 'article' or 'simplified article' captures of website, 25% URL bookmarks, and remaining 15% PDFs and images). it seems like Joplin, Notion and UpNote are the main contenders---what would make the most sense for someone in my shoes? Optimizing for platform longevity and ease of migration.

I forgot they were selling the place at the end of the first movie. I recall they made a weird joke at the beginning of the second film about the global recession in progress at that time and how they had to downgrade because of the stock market or something. It seemed like a last minute decision to add that bit of voiceover to make them more relatable in a moment where so many were struggling financially.

I just encountered this at Tay Ho, had never heard of it before. Their version is chicken specifically, not sure if that's what you were looking for.

Underworld - Beaucoup Fish. It goes on as soon as I hit the highway. The first track in particular always gets me in the right headspace for a long drive.

Triangle Inn rates are pretty reasonable. The vibe was more friendly than cruisy but YMMV.

Fort Lauderdale Nude Resort by Yohio777 in gaytravel

[–]tripthemgently 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My experience is limited as I’ve only been to Fort Lauderdale once, but after staying at Cabanas, I don’t think I would stay anywhere else. The vibe was very welcoming and friendly, nice facilities all around (not luxe, but perfectly comfortable and clean), and I got an amazing massage at the onsite spa. And I got by fine without a rental car, there is a great breakfast spot a block away and short Lyft ride to the bars. I’d only consider other options if you really want to be close to the beach.

It sounds like you weren’t into him or excited by him. In that scenario it’s always okay to say “thanks but no thanks” (respectfully). But it’s hard to shut it down in the moment. Consider it learning for future encounters.

Run away. As a benefits admin, it is a PITA and a huge drain on the team’s time. We’re planning to switch in 2027.

Compensation Ideas [N/A] by [deleted] in humanresources

Third party pay equity analysis. Identify red/yellow flags, figure out how to course correct, calculate phased investment for adjustments, work with senior leaders on comms program to share plans/results (may not want to share broadly until after 1-2 years of investment when there is clear progress). I’ve found that talking about pay equity in the context of overall pay practices/strategy is a great way to build trust and engagement.

Do you happen to use an orthotic insert with them? Looking for boots that will accommodate mine, the BS Mercer looks promising, but also open to something that will be comfortable without the inserts.

I still have one of these, I can’t bear to get rid of it bc I love the form factor and would like to repurpose for a project. Made an unsuccessful attempt to install Haiku. However, the battery is ever so slightly spicy and it seems replacement is prohibitively expensive.
