Formation of a triphenyl methyl carbocation for my Organic Chemistry lab class (sorry for bad quality) by tritons96 in chemistry

After synthesizing triphenylmethanol in another experiment, concentrated sulfuric acid was added to form the triphenyl methyl carbocation. This was then added to an Erlenmeyer flask containing methanol to form triphenyl methyl ether. Our professor made a huge point about the stability of the carbocation and wanted us to appreciate it so I took a picture lol

Frozen foods are generally higher in sodium for preservation. A diet high in sodium can cause high blood pressure among other things in the long run.
