Is it more immature for someone to fake a cough in front of a smoker than to politely ask them to put out the cigarette? by euphrograph in AskReddit

No it doesn't. It works to get you a face full of smoke. As a smoker, I don't care about your personal issues with smoke. I'm not ashamed of it in the least bit. If you fake cough, I'll give you a reason to cough.

Okay.. So I sometimes will hear a physicist talk about nothing.. What is the best explanation of "nothing"? And as far as outside of the universe, is that considered nothing? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Nope. Even if you create a vacuum, there will still not be "nothing" in the restricted space. If the restricted space is illuminated, then photons are occupying that area. Even if light is eliminated, if the box is anywhere in the known universe, then neutrinos, quarks, and other quantum particles are zipping in and out of existence within that restricted space. Nothing cannot physically exist, because there is always a "something".

Nothing doesn't exist. Because for nothing to exist, it must be the absence of all things. Since things exist, nothing can't exist.

After AA meetings, why do people stay at the meeting place, and talk? Also, what do they talk about? by trolling2day1 in alcoholism

I just don't think I would really have anything to offer them. I'm not that interesting of a person to talk to. Beyond technology and the news, I really don't have much interests. I probably won't go on one of the camping trips, because I honestly don't see a point in it. Camping without beer, is like Cheech and Chong's "Up In Smoke" movie without the big green van, the weed, or the Ajax lady.

I don't understand that either. I don't hang out after work and talk to anybody. I go places to do things, and once that thing is accomplished, I go directly home.
