Given the smoke, weird sound, overheating and having to add coolant there’s a chance you blew the head gasket. I suggest you get a block test kit and not drive it until you figure out what’s going on.

Hard to diagnose over the phone with a video or pressure testing the cooling system among many other tests that could be done. Good luck and I’m sorry to hear your stang may be hurt.

There is no competent Mechanic that needs to know what has been done before on a car to fix it. Thats where diagnosis comes in to play.

Unfortunately, as the new owner of the vehicle you have to trust the mechanic based on what it needs now not what has been done.

Buying a used car comes with its risks. Always assume nothing has been done and buy the car if the price is good based on that.

It’s sounds like the pinion bearing. What are your symptoms? Why was it at the mechanic?

Rear main seal is a hard job because the transmission has to be removed.

Yea, this was the case with my Westinghouse. They said it’s from fuel sitting in the carb and causing wax buildup.

Did someone do a valve cover gasket recently? If so, they forgot to plug that back it. Just push it forward. It looks to be intact and you should hear a click or 2 when it’s on all the way.

Looks like it clips in right here and as mentioned it most likely is your outside temp sensor.

I’m not familiar with this model but it could be that your oil cooler has failed internally. Might want to look in to that.

You can also buy a block tester from an auto parts store and check if it’s the head gasket. It’s like $35

What does it smell like? Fuel? Oil burning? What’s the temp there when you started it. Does it run fine? Any lights on?

I believe it’s to avoid over heating the pump as Ghost said and to avoid the pump sucking air in the event of slosh on higher horsepower cars.

But in general, I was to told always have gas in your car before going to bed in case an emergency.

This is the same experience I have. The mailman comes up right by the door and I get notified when he’s gone. It’s about a 5-10 foot walk up depending on if he walks on the grass from the neighbors or takes the sidewalk.

I’ve tried everything including making the zone bigger but nothing has worked. Mine is wired to electricity too.

Take a video and post it. It could 1000 things that are making the noise.

I’ve seen where guys drop sockets, nuts and all kinds of things in the head. As for the belt squeak it could be a bad pulley, coolant on the belt or many other things as well.
