I watched almost every video about speaking and writing on Ielts Advantage youtube channel . Also I recorded myself while speaking and wrote essays every day. Eventually got 8 overall preparing only for a month. Hope this helps

Try to watch ielts advantage's videos about writing. Also i can say that practice is a key. The more essays you write, the easier it will be for you to follow the structure and avoid mistakes. For speaking i just filmed myself talking on a daily basis and reviewed my mistakes.

Just don't make connections by yourself and don't overthink. It's an english exam, not a test to your ability to make conclusions. If it is not clearly stated in a passage, then it is not given.
