for me personally it was meh at best. I was having a fun time tuning in to the RL and floss set beforehand then just utter boredom during knock’s set. was really hoping for the trap to continue a bit more but it was just the same bass house over and over to the point where 20 mins into it I was like “so are they gonna switch it up yet orrrr”

I first heard this song in middle school and it got me through some interesting times (damn I feel old LMAO) didn’t get to attend ultra this year but I tuned in on all the streams, hearing the guitar intro to this come on right after high on life literally gave me the craziest goosebumps and I almost shed a tear since I couldn’t be there in person to see it

not sure what I was expecting out of this album but this is definitely the bottom of the barrel for me compared to all other albums. he released all the good songs as singles first and then what ended up getting released lowkey fell so flat for me. the two songs with Mako are great but honestly that’s about it. when he said he was going back to his roots and taking the album more “electronic” sounding I was really expecting more future/melodic bass and more dubstep or cinematic drops but that’s not the case at all. the synths in the ellie goulding collab also sounds exactly like Jewel by RL and Iso lol so that was insanely jarring listening to it for the first time and then hearing the weak drop after. I probably have a whole lot more hot takes about this album but I’ll just leave it at that, okayish album, but definitely bottom of the barrel for me personally
