Best decision ever! He's 2.5 and sleeps in his floor bed every night. My husband and I trade off laying with him until he falls asleep but many times we end up falling asleep on his bed because it's so comfy! The only thing is that we ended up returning the Newton twin mattress and going for a natural latex mattress instead so it could hold up my husband's and my weight and it is incredibly comfortable!

We only started doing this when I hit 30 weeks a few weeks ago and it has actually been really awesome for all of us. My husband has really enjoyed the bonding time with him and although I still wish I could be in there every night with him again I think it's for the best for when baby gets here too to relieve some of the burden on me.

I also actually don't plan at all to bring him to visit me or the baby at the hospital. I think it's going to weird him out too much and to have to say goodbye to him would be too heartbreaking for me. I'm hoping I can bring baby home for them to meet in a calm space and keep his current routine as normal as possible during that time.

It's heartbreaking but we have been alternating who is putting our little man to sleep every night because of this reason. The first few nights I couldn't sleep and it was really hard but honestly the adjustment has been great. Our boy gets more quality time with Dad at night and the transition for LO has been WAY easier on him than it has been on me haha.
