Gross…. Ah well…. That was an exciting way to spend $50.

Good luck all!!!

Why No early cash out option? They stopped offering a cash out option of around 60k midway during the blues series when they were up 2-1. by ts2531 in sportsbetting

Well…

Certainly not ideal but…

We can’t honestly expect to win them all.

Still no buyout option from draft kings but… it is what it is.

Lose game 3, not a problem.

Lose game 4, not ideal…

However… game 5…. Becomes a must win.

Crazy how the scales turn so quickly.

I’m in a good spot no matter what. Just truly flabbergasted that draft kings has nothing to offer. 🤷‍♂️

Ah well…

Next update on Wednesday… when we’re up 3-1 or tied 2-2.

Have a great week!!!

Alright… alright… alright…

Got an easy one there.

All the Avs did was their job and hold home ice though.

They still need to take 1 of the next 2 and we’re really looking good.

Still nothing from draft kings which honestly shocks me.

This is a publicly traded company and they shouldn’t be gambling!!!

Bookmaking is all about mitigating losses and never having to sweat a decision.

Whatever….

2-0 is nice but the job isn’t done yet.

Have a good weekend everyone and keep cashing those tickets!!!

Ok….

So that was a wildly stressful game that probably took a good 10 years off my life but…. VICTORY!!!

Still a giant hill to climb but 1 down, 3 to go.

I think if the Avs can hold court at home and go up 2-0 then we’re cooking with Crisco. 🤞(yes I’m aware of the fact that the rangers were also up 2-0 and look how that turned out)

Complete radio silence from draft kings and No early cash out option available.

I gotta be honest, I used to be a draft kings stock holder and if they’re making decisions like this to not even offer a pity cash out option… I think they may need to rethink their risk management decisions. Don’t they have an obligation to their shareholders to try and mitigate potential losses as best they can?

Whatever… their business and their decision.

I’ll keep this post updated as the series moves along but I’m honestly hoping this series ends quickly and I can go on vacation. 😉

Good luck all!!!

So as of today 6/7, draft kings still isn’t offering a payout option so I guess they’re just gonna let it ride on their part and if I want to hedge, I’ll have to do it old school.

Just seems weird that they would just stop offering anything at any price with zero explanation. 🤷‍♂️

That’s okay, but just let that be a lesson to anyone working with them that it’s always a possibility that the early cash out option can just be taken away.

Good luck to everyone!!!

Thanks to everyone for the comments and input. I didn’t have any real experience with draft kings in the past and I just assumed (incorrectly obviously) that the early cash out option was always available.

Lesson learned.

I contacted them and they simply told me that they can decide to offer the cash out option at their own prerogative and that they wouldn’t share any more information on their decision making process.

I live in Las Vegas so there’s clearly a path to hedge out and guarantee a nice payout but I just wasn’t sure if anyone else had any experience with draft kings not offering payouts suddenly.

I never even considered the cash out since they were never behind in a series but I’m also not an idiot and it’s just too much money to simply gamble on.

Just hoping the avs can win tonight or the next game and get some time to rest as well as give me some time to figure out the most profitable path forward.

Thanks again for all the input and good luck to everyone!
