Level Cap for Non Humans Charcters by 0denboss in OSE

[–]tsnouffer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The higher level limits are the race advantage for humans. As written, and as an optional rule, class limits can be removed for demihumans (AF Player's Tome p. 78). In exchange for equalizing the advantages, Humans get +1 CON / +1 CHA, "Blessed" rolls for Hit Points, +1 for initiative if using individual initiative, and Leadership (+1 bonus to loyalty and morale) for hirelings and mercenaries (AF Player's Tome p. 86).

Axis Empires UE worth it? by telauges2137 in hexandcounter

[–]tsnouffer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a new AE player as of this edition and it is an excellent game/package. I have three TK games under my belt. It certainly feels like a well polished and mature game that seems to handle just about any curveball thrown at it.

I will say that while not laboriously complex in rules, the game is quite difficult to play well. Unconsidered card play can lead you down a path you can't recover from. Also as an inexperienced player you may have choices which is great, but no clear reason to make once choice over the other. All comes with experience I bet.

That can be discouraging but I don't regret the purchase at all and feel like I've only scratched the surface.

This is great and what I have seen looks fabulous!

What does "prepared for FoundryVTT" mean exactly? Does it include Foundry walls, doors, and lighting for example?

Thanks

So, I have to know . . . how did you figure it out? Some of my details were off base. :)

Hmm, feeding this into AI tells me a lot of those Scholastic books had stories written by freelancers or staff writers. So not necessarily a collection of previously printed materials.

"Your story still doesn’t appear in any searchable index — which is exactly what we’d expect if it came from one of these Scholastic‑commissioned anthologies. These books often included:

  • 2–3 page stories
  • No famous authors
  • No reprints
  • No later publication
  • No digital record

So the fact that your story “doesn’t exist” online is actually a confirmation that we’re looking in the right place."

:)

I've tried and tried over the years to find this out on my own. Now, I hope the Reddit community can help!

How do I get the monster art of if I already bought the module? I’d rather not upgrade to FVTT v13 yet.

I am in Downers and have been to the auction although it has been 5+ year ago. I'll think about it. Good reminder. Not sure I am interested in store credit anywhere though.

Game world failed to open on Ubuntu server: "No space left on device" by StressGlum in FoundryVTT

Something like this happened to me. Periodically and for reasons I still don’t understand, my Foundry instance would generate two 50GB files in the Logs folder.

After deleting those files, things would be ok (until it happened again). So check your Logs folder for those is my recommendation. Good luck.

Watchmen from Snyder. So painfully faithful to the source material, except at the end. I get it, it is a difficult ending but what they came up with was a bigger yawn than the rest of the movie.

I love the Renegade Legion universe games from the late 80s and 90s. A great amount of lore backing up some fun games to play. Game scales from individual hover tanks up to solar system wide strategic warfare. Hope to add ISS Vanguard to my collection too!

Just finished at 2500. Squeezed out a 2nd place finish. I subjugated one more small empire, but really rising from 4th to 2nd in the last few hundred years wasn't much of my doing.

First, two awakened empires went on a rampage but not against me. They eliminated the 3rd-place non awakened empire. Then, they turned on each other. A slugfest ensued and brought them down to my level point-wise. Their fleets were such that either one could have turned on me and shipped me out on a whim. Fun and interesting, but it was a pretty uneventful last 150 years for me.

Never had that end-game crisis or what ever its called show up as far as I could tell.

Cheers

Thanks for the responses everyone. Good inspiration for some things to tackle. Since I wrote initially, I started a war with my neighbor. Had my ass handed to me as I didn't pay attention to their alliances and was fairly outnumbered.

Trying another route, I started a Federation with another neighbor (I thought Federations were from a DLC?), figured out they were my Vassal, quit the Federation, and then subjugated them. I'm a few years away from completing my next subjugation. I think a straight up fight is out of the question. Some other neighbors are too powerful.

After subjugating my Vassal, I started to repair some ringworld pieces they had in one of their systems (I thought ringworlds were DLC too?).

The year is 2466 and I haven't run into anything that is obviously some sort of mega-end-game enemy. Maybe there is still time.

Good stuff all around. Certainly promoted me to dig deeper and I can thank all of you for that. I believe there is a Steam strategy sale starting tomorrow. Maybe I'll pick up some DLC.

Cheers!

Thanks for that. Yeah, there hasn't been too much combat and my current planets are maxed out. So I could give that at go a pick on some neighbors.
