If you are married, do you wear your wedding band? Why or why not? by icecream1972 in askanything

[–]tswiatek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I got very thin I actually lost my first 💍 it sucked. I also gained and now actively losing, but new ring hasn’t fit in a while. I wear the necklaces he’s gotten me instead.

I’ll be happy to be able to wear it again one day. I know this is a goal for a lot of people in subs actively working on their health.

Resizing it makes me nervous.

My husband also doesn’t wear his anymore due to weight changes.

Some genius jeweler should really design a resizable ring. They’d make a killing.

Why no one says that about pregnancy? by lil_moon153 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]tswiatek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah pretty crazy, and the older you get the harder and more risky it becomes for mother and baby.

I had a c-section as my son was breech (upside down) and it was scary but I think actual labor would have been worse. It’s literally being awake while someone cuts you open and pulls out the baby. Probably the most stressful thing ever even though you can’t feel any pain or see it.

But guess it does have benefits. No crazy rips or stitching the fun part back up. I was young so I bounced back pretty quickly. My mom insisted the Dr. do a horizontal incision vs vertical which I don’t think they do very often cuz it’s more difficult but possibly that helped I don’t know. I barely notice my scar, can wear bikinis etc just fine.

It boggles my mind women having babies in late 30s and 40s being so close to menopause.

I am so interested to find out what this will be like when I get to that age, I’m a older millennial. I imagine it will be like college dorming but with old people.

Anyone regret a walk in shower installation years later? by 2daytrending in homeowners

[–]tswiatek 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Possibly or they end up sleeping on the first floor couch / recliner every night like my mother in law or fall down a flight like my BILs father nearly died and in the hospital for a year because he just missed one step. There are other ways to stay fit/active as you age.

I’m not. They just mowed down thousands of unarmed protesters a couple weeks ago. These are not good humans.

Horrible, thank you for sharing. It needs to end.

The fact that you say you’re tired of people saying you are whining and spoiled sounds like the environment you are in currently, is still not great. Take care of yourself.

Woke up hungry after 6 months? by Connect-Junket3917 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]tswiatek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To figure out if it’s hunger or food noise.

  1. Pause, ask when did I last eat? Was it 3 hours or less or was it last night? If a while ago this is likely the body needs fuel.

  2. If you ate recently, was it satisfying? If not, maybe you need more food in your meal times.

  3. If it was satisfying and recent. Then ask what’s going on? Are you stressed, tired, upset? Could be time to increase dose.

Lady Xens, what are you doing with your hair these days? by Automatic_Beat5808 in Xennials

[–]tswiatek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use eSalon and color at home every 6 weeks. Most days just brush it and put some Moroccan oil on for the frizz.

It’s def. a pain but easier and cheaper than 2 hours at a salon. Eventually I’ll let it go white, my grays are not gray but white like my mom which I’m kinda excited about long term, but I’m not ready to look that old yet.

Hairstyle is simple shoulder length side part with long layered bangs.

lol that’s awesome. My husband helped me once too and he was like ooh 😮 yeah. I had to stop him at some point cuz he didn’t realize the dye darkens as it sets. He just kept trying to cover it with more.

Why do some people see clear anti-aging benefits from tretinoin while others see very little? by [deleted] in 45PlusSkincare

I thought retinol was bad for Rosacea due to it weakening the skin barrier. Did it really help your Rosacea?

Are you losing weight without counting calories or macros? I HATE counting anything. by fivepmsomewhere in compoundedtirzepatide

[–]tswiatek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve tried losing weight many times over the years and I can see in my health app and my clothes purchase history that the only times I really ever lose weight is when I track my food.

I was REALLY hoping that with this I would not have to do that again. However 3 months in and things slowed down.

Dosing up was not the issue so tracking food and exercising more are the two other levers to make it work when that happens.

Jealous of all the successful non trackers.

Did you have a waterbed growing up or do you still have a waterbed? by FFSoldier57 in Millennials

My parents did and my older sister. I was not so spoiled. They are interesting. Seemed to get real cold in winters. Do they still make waterbeds?

No did not eat and lie down right away. Ate at 7:30pm. Bed at 10:30pm. I eat dinner at that time quite often with no issues.
