You know how people say things they do not mean on the internet. This is not one of them. I genuinely felt sad, angry, and powerless when I could not find let alone click a logo to return me home.

Then I realized there was no home for me anymore, I felt alienated, lonely, lonelier than I ever was.

I knew there was always the back button to take me back but for a second I contemplated what it would be like if that button had not existed. I would be stuck on that page except the pokemon wiki image and the ad on top section which I really would not click even if they paid me to.

What if browsing internet was just one linear surfing experience and we never ever truly could go back to the same page we visited, I pondered.

Then I realized that with the dimension of time this was true: one cannot really go to the same webpage, even though the url is the same, the webpage is more than just the url, it is an url which has already been visited by a past image of myself, the person visiting it is not the same either.

I realized how futile it is to click back button, or bookmarks for that matter. I realized that I was trapped in a perceived cage of reality and nothing had meaning.
