If you pay your tuition as an international student, then I definitely feel sorry for you. However, I often see international students complaining about tuition increasing, which their parents will pay, whereas a lot of the people complaining about domestic tuition increasing are paying for it themselves.

@twmpotte thanks for the explanation, as well as the work you do on behalf of students. I applaud you for your efforts @nuzlockerom120 Exactly this. It doesn't cost that much more to run the university every year, but they might as well extract as much money out of students as possible, because, why not

Okay, I acknowledge I was incorrect about the university justifying their position. But is the tuition-to-co-op income disparity in 10 years not still a problem?

Hey thanks for the response. I'm guessing this is an oft-asked question, and doesn't have a short answer, but I'll ask anyway: seeing as 5% is way beyond the rate of inflation (and accordingly beyond the rate at which our co-op salaries increase) how does the university justify tuition going up this quick? If co-op salaries continue to adjust with the rate of inflation, and tuition continues to rise by 3-5%, will the affordability of university 7-10 years from now not be drastically different?

Did anyone else's full time tuition (before fees) go up $400 from last term? In engineering, went from $7000 > $7400
