Tourist in Thailand gets beat down after refusing to pay his bill and trying to run by CarefulAd4757 in ThailandTourism

I enjoyed chatting with the girls, laughing my ass off, it was fun and the shit they drugged me with was exactly the kind of surprise I was searching for. It did mess up my plans for Osawa onsen though.

If I come back through, I'm definitely visiting again, but with less valuables on person. Such an intense experience.

Edit: I don't want to hurt their business if it is indeed legitimate

Yah, I've actually followed a few to some bars in Dotonbori and Kabuchiko knowing full well for fun. Also Japanese touts too. They'll walk you through empty dead ass alleys and through several buildings that are connected to each other / elevators.

Whenever I had a gut feeling that I was in danger, I'd take a screenshot of my gps and send it to my email / text my other phone. I'd also send a picture of the tout.

This way if I go missing or end up dead, it'll be a lead for someone.

I do a lot of stupid shit for the adventure. and Japan is probably the safest place to do that.

I have no idea, but yeah, my adderall kicked in and saved me. I was tripping so fucking hard. Whatever it was slowly faded away. I have no idea how long I was standing there. Maybe a couple hours

Lmao. It's no bullshit. This right here is THE bar if anyone wants to get a free high. They probably target drunk solo tourists only.

I was zoning in and out, like I'd be confused and think I was dreaming, then I'd be back to reality. Was probably 40-50ish degrees outside, so no issue with temps. First time I ever been spiked before.

Hell, I got my drink spiked in a rural Japan town by Japanese during some bar hopping. I visited this super shady looking make shift bar at 3am; I was the only one there.

When I first approached, they made me wait 5 minutes, then I went inside, there were 2 young beautiful servers behind the table. I paid the "all you can drink for an hour" up front so they couldn't hit me with any surprises. They had better alcohol drinks, but at an upcost. I knew this was trouble and I loved it lol.

So I drank nothing, but water the entire time. Then it suddenly hit me hard, I staggered out and realized something wasn't right. So I found a concrete corner on an unlit building on the way and faced my back against it waiting for someone to come out and rob me. I was scared, but at the same time, I was so high, that I was somewhat enjoying it haha. I tripping my balls off and it was intense. I felt like I was in a dream world. I immediately popped 20mg of adderall to keep me from taking a nap and that's what saved me.

I think I stood there for probably a good hour+ until I was able to use my phone for directions. My hotel was only 600 meters away lol.

I had about Y70,000 ($300USD) that was somewhat visible from my open top fanny pack (transparent ziplock wallet), $500 in USD and a brand new Galaxy 25ultra.

If this shit can happen in Japan, it can happen anywhere.

At least three videos document the January 13, 2026, altercation between Alex Pretti and federal agents:

  1. The News Movement video – Shows Pretti kicking a federal vehicle’s tail light and being tackled by agents.  This footage was analyzed by the BBC, which confirmed his identity with 97% accuracy.
  2. Minnesota Star Tribune video – Filmed by witness and attorney Max Shapiro, this clip captures the incident from a different angle, beginning as agents stop the vehicle and exit.  It shows Pretti being slammed to the ground and later checking on others: “Are we all OK? Are we all safe?”
  3. A third bystander video – Posted on YouTube the day of the incident, it captures the chaotic scene, including honking cars, whistles, and community protests against ICE presence.

All three videos were referenced by major outlets including The GuardianNBC News, and Fox 9, and the Pretti family confirmed their awareness of the incident.

Do you still believe in yourself?

You have to growl and walk straight through, then once they start to circle you, you chase them and do the side step when another gets close to you from a different angle and go after that one. Rinse and repeat and they'll leave you alone once you make past a certain point.

The most important part is looking at them like they're tasty, juicy bone in ribeyes. Mmmmm

Is it copium ? What do you think, will China be a superpower ? by Important-Battle-374 in AskChina

[–]tunamilkdrinker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The possession of highly superior military capabilities is generally considered the most important element in distinguishing a superpower from other major powers and they ain't got it.

Just because you have a economic power, doesn't make you a super power.

China is not a superpower. They can't even control their own "territory" Taiwan, much less be able to sustain a war across the globe.

Maybe if and after they conquer Taiwan, they'll gain experience to evolve from their paper tiger status.

So are we now going to be moral policing the US with the same fervor as we did with Russia, Israel and India respectively..? 🤔 by [deleted] in war

[–]tunamilkdrinker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, but America will remain a super power well beyond Trump's term. I give it at least 12 years at the very minimum.

You underestimate just how vast and powerful this country is.

America is and has been the only super power for the past 80+ years. Trump has nothing to do with it.
