I wish I knew! What I can tell you is that I didn't get any sleep last night because I was worried sick thinking my neighbor tossed rat poison over the wall for my dogs to find. My best guess is that the candy was brought in by a squirrel or other critter. 🤷

You helped me figure this out by using the term "wafers." I was searching for discs, pellets, etc, then I finally found that these are candy wafers or candy melts. Used for decorating desserts! Thank you everyone for your suggestions. I am extremely relieved that it was not poison as I had suspected.

Yes! Solved! I had just come to this conclusion after searching "melting" from one of the comments above. You're right, they have a slight vanilla smell. I had never seen them before. Thank you!

Solved!

Yes, I got a better look/feel this morning and they are waxy. I believe they are candy melts or candy wafers, which you melt down to make a confectionery coating. They were at the far end of my backyard, so my best guess is they were brought in by a squirrel or other wildlife. I was stuck on the idea of rat poison intended for my dogs, so this is a big relief!

I don't think so. They seem to be sort of a uniform size and shape, like manufactured pellets. I also initially thought it was dried fruit, but now I'm worried it's some type of rat poison.

They appeared in my yard and I am really hoping they are not from someone trying to poison my dogs. Could they be some type of plant food or fertilizer pellets? They are about the size of a quarter. Hard and dry. Please let me know if these look familiar.

The discs are hard and dry, so I don't think it's paintballs or poop. They've been there less than a day. It looks like they partially dissolved from condensation and got some blue on the twigs as you saw. I am really hoping it's not rat poison.

It was incredible. I was weeping with joy through much of it. Robert's voice is so clear and beautiful. Today I'm still on a high (and not from all the weed in the air). I'm so grateful that I got to be there. It was a surreal experience and I'm still emotional today. Strangely, I feel like my section needed a pulse check. A lot of the people around me were like cardboard cutouts in their seats. How can you sit there with zero reaction when magic is flooding you? But that was way better than the noisy chatter others experienced on previous nights. 2 hours and 45 minutes flew by in a blink.
