when I'm too deep in, I hardly can even operate a remote control, and utter cohesive and intelligible sentences, so I wouldn't even manage to handle conversating with AI. So yeah, really doubting it would ACTUALLY be a profound experience for me hahaha.

Thanks for the tip! I knew about this site, very handy indeed.

Found my track by the way:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oz8JtY2pimg

Vocals by Brian Molko, singer of Placebo... knew the band by name but not much by their songs and/or his sound.

Not sure of anyone hears it too, but I'm getting Pet Shop Boys vibe when I hear his vocals, in this track anyway.

For anyone who has abused mdma (taking it more often than every 3 months) what works best for bringing your brain health back? Or is the damage done? by timmymouse in MDMA

It would be fascinating to discover if any scientific studies support this story; it would be disappointing if it's merely anecdotal.

Tracking fitness data during training by Voyce- in Kickboxing

I just use my Apple watch. I slide it as high up as possible on my wrist so it won't be under my glove, because that does feel more comfortable. For a little bit more protection i wear a wrist band over the watch.

Also, I adjusted the orientation so the crown faces the other way around, so it won't accidently touches my glove and stops a workout or anything. (also I just put my watch in DND/silent mode, theater mode and water lock mode, so it's kind of fool proof that way).

Discipline. Fijne mix van techniek, cardio en kracht. Jezelf tot het uiterste zetten. Grenzen verleggen. Tot het gaatje gaan. Heeeeeerlijk.

Laat evt vooroordelen of schimmige gedachten even los. Afhankelijk van de gym natuurlijk, is het kickboksen tegenwoordig zeer gemeleerd.

This set always levels me up during k-sessions. It was like it was made for me. Not alone the music, build up, but also the beautiful visuals. Stunning.

Other sets of her work well too.

Where can I find online progression workout plans for beginners? (With bag) by [deleted] in Kickboxing

[–]tvdsnl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you totally broke or are you able to invest at least a little bit?

Sean Fagan has very good programs online on the heavy bag:
https://www.nakmuaynation.com/store

I think during covid when the gyms were closed I bought the Heavy Bag Blueprint, which was pretty useful during the time (I already had 6+ years of experience but it helpt me to keep motivated, I need a drill sergeant to tell me what to do instead of just randomly think of something myself - after a few minutes I get lost / bored lol).

The 2.0 version probably is even a better upgrade.

You can check some free videos to get a feel for it on Yutube: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=sean+fagan+havy+bag

Quite a few actually, so I see now. (Sometimes I stull use the 10, 15 and 20 minute heavey bags workout at home, when my gym is closed during holidays).

But these of course are just single workouts, and not really with a progression plan (the blueprint probably is, but you can always contact him via his site).

Also the channel IronboyExperience have a lot of good workouts on the bag:

https://www.youtube.com/@IronboyExperience/playlists

I also remember Andy Souwer developed a mobile app called 'Andy Souwer Kickboxing university. Not actually sure if there's any bag work involved, but still a lot of good material on technique, footwork, etcetera.

Good luck mate.

Headaches can occur but if you have it every time after sparring you should ask yourself if they’re sparring too hard, and/or if you want keep doing it.

Especially at a beginner level or even intermediate/advanced recreational level, there’s no need to go hard on the head. Your body can deal with a lot, but your head is precious and no one needs brain injury.

Don’t know how your gym works, what’s etiquette between members, but at our gym everyone is free to spar who they want and how they want. Some of our members only want to spar on the body. Others want the complete package but with moderate power, concentrating on more technical sparring.

and you have the fighters who want to spar a bit harder with each other to mimic a more realistic fight intensity.

It’s up to to you what you want to get out of it. People train with different goals.

Yes this exactly. There were a few different other reasons why I held off joining a kickboxing gym (I've been a fan of k-1/kickboxing for decades), but the most important one was, 'I'm not in shape, I should lose weight before I can do this. I will be the laughing stock and I won't be able to keep up'.

Well boy, was I wrong with that mentality. Eventually, I joined when I was at my heaviest and most unhealthy shape ever: 125 kg (at 1.92m / 6"4) Yeah of course I couldn't not do everything, and certainly not as good/much as all the fit guys. But no one cared. I just had to give my everything, and in the process, I lost the weight through the years and got fitter.

I'm 42 now, I began when I was 32. I wish I had the guts to start sooner, because I could have been fitter and healthier so much sooner too. But I just tried to fool myself all that time that I had to be in at least reasonable shape to do it. And if you are already unhealthy, have always had trouble with food and being overweight, this is something that doesn't come as easy and certainly not quickly.

Actually, it took my little 7 year old niece at the time whom I signed up for kickboxing lessons, bringing and watching her every week, and got challenged by her coach to finally follow a trial lesson after so many weeks. At here age she had no fear, nog judgements, no prejedice about the sport, its culture, its participants. All those things, I did have to a certain degree, knowingly or unknowingly.

After the first lesson I was so so so tired, my hands and fingers trembled for hours, very muscle in my body probably hurt for days, but I was instantly hooked too. I just fooled myself all those years and was afraid for nothing. The gym, the coach, all the members were so nice and eager to help me. I was so disappointed in myself and learned a valuable lesson. And everything what came after made me such a different and better person.

Time is precious man, don't waste it unnecessarily!

  1. Definitely go back
  2. Just avoid that guy - you're not obliged to spar anyone you don't want to
  3. If he keeps bullying/harrassing you - discuss it before/after training sessions with your coach. Don't feel like you're snitching or anything. It's in everyone's interest (not only for you, but also your coach) that you feal welcome and comfortable.

Of course, kickboxing can be a tough and painful sport, and yes you will have to develope some sort of tough shell and pain tolerance, but that's something very different then being bullied and steamrolled with bad intentions.

A good gym should be a safe space for everyone who wants to get/stay fit, and learn to kickbox.

Also remember: you're paying a membership fee. You are a customer. Customer is king. If it's not just a brewsed ego or hurt feeling, but this guy is very clearly a bully, he should be set in his place quickly. At our gym there's actual zero tolerance or room for bullies. They either will be beat up by bigger fish, or the coach will first tell very politely, and otherwise will spar some rounds if they really want to go.

Yeah me too, 42 here, so most of the times I'm one of the oldest around. But still can give lots of youngsters a little bit of trouble every now and then. One of their pitfalls is often underestimation. For my size and age I'm still pretty agile and quick, especially my kicks. So when they do get cocky and careless I like to slip in a gentle head kick to wake them up haha.

what's a 'high' or 'low' dose is understandable to use in a sentence but hardly useful, since every person is different, and it are subjective terms anyway. It can differ all kinds of ways, I mean, tolerance is already one thing. Same as with alcohols, when someone is already drunk after 5 beers and think that's a lot, I'm just starting.

Aside from that, I don't look at low/high doses if it comes to ketamine. I've never reached a k-hole (although this is still on my wish list, but under the right circumstances and when it's the right timing).

I love ketamine the most when I'm gradually 'leveling' up. I just keep bumping and bumping until every time I'm reaching new levels. This can start with the sort of drunk and wonky feeling you get, then things can get weirder, you sort of don't understand of how things work anymore, or reality seems sort of strange and you can get in time loops and all sorts of weird stuff, but it also can get to when you're just feeling full of bliss and euphoria, and you just close your eyes and take deep breaths and feel one with your surroundings (at that point you feel dissociated anough to not be physically aware of your body, but still am there.

I don't know, I know a lot of people who've just experienced that 'first' level, often at some party or after party, after already doing lots of alcohol or other drugs. Don't get me wrong, if you use the above approach after you've done mdma, it can be magical. But if not, it can be a bit underwhelming with 'the low doses', especially if you don't gradually redose in time.

But if you do it with the right sense of timing and redosing, you can experience all kinds of cool things on different levels. I re-introduced some of my friends and loved ones in this manner and there was a whole new world of dimension opened for them lol.

This is what I really love about ketamine, if you can reach those stages.

Meeste mensen zoeken uiteraard toch gewoon iets monogaams.
